Albany, New York....?

Holly, So sorry to hear of your medical problems. For that diagnosis although it may seem like a long time, a year is the waiting period. You need to stay positive and know that you are ALWAYS welcome in this forum!!

    Albany, New York....?

I started this Albany section and I've slacked my friends, so sorry. Was sleeved last month, October 7th and I am now down 50 pounds and feel amazing I'll be posting pictures soon. Glad we got a couple more people. I haven't found the diet to be restricting at all, as I really have no desire for food. I found a great Lemonade (so tired of water) that follows the restrictions that has helped me be . Able to get my liquids down, which I'm doing with no problem. It's Minute Maid LIGHT. 15 calories a glass and sugar is only 2 grams :-) Hope everyone is doing well :-) :-) :-)

    Two Days Post-Op

Steeks, I don't know what your hospital requirements are but 30 oz of liquids a day is not a lot at all. I was sleeved on this past Monday, October 7th, and I'm required to consume 64 oz of fluids daily. I do three sugar free popsicles, which equal 60 oz and I sip as much as I can throughout day.

    October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

Sleeved last Monday, October 7th, and left hospital Thursday. Pain is MUCH better, still having difficulty getting up and out of chair and bed. Consuming proper amount of liquids thanks to surgery free popsicles. Down about 20 pounds, off four meds already, wedding rings don't fit, feeling pretty good. Pictures from surgery, did not require stitching, incisions were glued, and are looking amazing. Bruises are NOT from surgery, they are from having to stop Coumadin two weeks prior to surgery and replace them with Lovenox shots. Pics attached :-)

    Official Date Today!

The bruising is NOT from surgery, it is from having to stop my Coumadin medicine two weeks prior to surgery and switch it to Lovenox shots that I had to do in my stomach twice a day for two weeks. Just didn't want anyone to think it was from surgery.

    Two Days Post-Op

I had my surgery on October 7th, this past Monday and this morning was the first morning I was able to COMFORTABLY get out of bed. I did not need stitching or stapling, but was glued so don't know how the effects it. Everyone's diff This is the first day I woke up not going right to pain meds, it's almost 12:30pm, still haven't needed one. Walking helps A LOT. Best of luck to you! Attached some pics from my surgery. Bruising is not from surgery, but from Lovenox shots I had to do for two weeks prior to surgery. October Sleevers - Who else

Sleeved this past Monday 10/07/13, released yesterday. Moderate discomfort, walking in uncomfortable but a must, love my Percocet, and trying to stay on top of drinking. Kept an extra day for not taking in enough fluid which I'm finding hard to do. Incisions look great.
