sleeve and arthritis
SuperFab replied to hopeful2 be slim's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Miss Mac, you have no idea how inspiring this was to hear. I have severe spinal stenosis and arthritis as well as Degenerative Disk Disease. Neuro said once weight was gone the pressure should be eased on my spine and joints. You've definitely given me hope!! April -
This is Starting to Feel Real-PreSurgery Jitters?
SuperFab replied to TheWigster's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know. I swear it keeps me awake at night and it's like an obsession -
Unless it was extremely rough sex, which usually doesn't make you bleed at all, it's your period. I'd go with period since you said it seems like it. Your hormones are out of whack after surgery and some people's periods get really screwed up.

Thank goodness. I've really been worried as I follow your progress. -

I'd buy just a very few samples of the bariatric advantage. They upset my stomach something awful and taste like ass. -

The first thing is do is check for a fever. Do you have one? Then call your surgeon's office. -
More Pre-op Questions....

Post op most Drs mainly worry about getting your fluids in. Not Protein. The first 2 weeks are usually focused on keeping you hydrated above all else. I tried a variety of shakes and most were disgusting to me, made me sick or the texture was too difficult. I found the RTD Premier and Muscle Milk the only ones I can stand. I try and stick with the Premier Bc it has the most protein. A lot of people like Isopure. It counts as a clear liquid and is packed with protein. I couldn't deal with it. To me, it was nasty as heck. I am sticking with the Premier and Muscle Milk -
Don't feel right

I'd go to the hospital. I bet u need an IV infusion. Once you're not so dehydrated I bet you'll feel better. -
I couldn't. Heck, I'd wear my vibrator out first.

I didn't mean to hit send yet. Ugh. Anyway, I think though, that meds are absorbed in the intestines so it's probably ok. April

Personally, I wait so it doesn't wash out.

I'm so sorry. Please, please stay on your acid reducer so this does not happen again. I wish you the best and "break a leg"!

"No matter what anyone says to you or what comments any one makes I want you to know that I'm really proud of you for getting your stomach surgery. " I just received that in a text from my 17 year old daughter, Jolie. Yeah. It made me cry. All I'd told her was that I was gonna get a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy and hopefully it would allow me to lose enough weight that some of the pressure on my spine would be eased. We used to go cross country 3 miles a day. Rain or shine. As a family. Then I had my injury, gained 150 pounds because I was sedentary and fed my emotions to "feel better". She's apparently watched several documentary type videos on the surgery and educated herself very well. I honestly thought the less she knew, the easier it would be on her. Not the case. I feel like I really dropped the ball by not going into greater detail with her on my surgery, but it's ok because she picked that ball up and dribbled it all the way to the basket by herself. Then she said there was one lady named Melissa who was so worried that after weightloss surgery her family would be judgmental, she was 600 pounds and had "only" lost 200. She thought they wouldn't tell much of a difference and be critical of her even getting the surgery. When her family first saw her the burst out in tears of joy. That was the first time they'd seen her able to even walk that far. She said "if Melissa can do this then so can you. You got this". February 18th is my day and she's right. I got this. April
