I'm sorry your nutritionist was such a whack job. I really learned tons from all of my visits with mine and liked her a lot. Hopefully you'll like the other one much better. Good luck and congrats on finding a surgeon that you really click with.

She was at home. Her bed at home was harder to navigate Bc it doesn't have rails like she had at the hospital.

My soup came from my doc's office and is designed for this and right after surgery so if I could only have tomato soup I guess I'd add unflavored protein to it and unflavored protein to any flavored waters or drinks. I'd be starved without the high protein levels.

Whoa, girl! Reading this sort of have me chills. My fall was on ice and I hit a curb. The docs kept saying I was "bruised" until I demanded an MRI etc. like you, I was walking with a walker ( not a cane). I used one for a little over a year, but then I started taking Lyrica and it was like a miracle drug to me. I still hold on to walls, etc, but I don't need the walker. I use the railing to pull myself up stairs. My left leg goes numb quite often. I can walk for limited time until it's just unbearable. My list of ailments mirror yours so completely that your post really hits home. I have that same post-op list too. Good luck to you. I know we can beat this.

At one month out I'm finishing up with puréed foods. Then soft foods. At 2 months out I'll just start regular foods as tolerated. I know you say "1-2" months but it depends on if it's one or two. They differ.

Surgery is the 18th. I'll have a drain, no catheter, a catheter/tube thing that actually pumps anesthetic stuff inside me, I will have to give myself 10 days worth of blood thinner injections, I will have an abdominal binder, I'll have a private room. They also use a drain Bc they do what's called a "blue ice test". You eat ice that's dyed blue and if no dye comes out of the drain it's another reassurance of no leak besides the other leak tests.

I had questions for my surgeon. Will I have a drain? Will I wake up with a catheter? Will I wake up wearing an abdominal binder? Do I have to administer blood thinner shots to myself after surgery? Will I have a private room? Have you ever had a patient that developed a leak?

Nut said it must be <1g sugar in anything I drink from here on out. When I'm out tomorrow I'll get the pink and blue and try them. I got some sf protein beverage mix from Herbalife that's 15g protein per 8oz in wild berry that is pretty tasty.

As far as the stage, it depends on your individual surgeon's diet plan.

Lol. It was red. But it tasted salty. Maybe all sports drinks do, or maybe it was Bc of this diet but I gave it to my son.

Ahh, I bet that's why my nut said powerade zero. And it tastes not so good. Lol
