I feel the exact same. I was just telling my daughter that yesterday was easier. Maybe it was still too numb yesterday and we never felt the "full" signal.

I'd take miralax. You do not wanna get impacted and have to go to the hospital for that

Diarrhea. Liquid in and liquid out. But it's so loud. Totally embarrassing. Lol but I feel better Bc of losing the gas. Whew

Now that the dam has broken I can't stop pooping. With TONS of gas.

I can't drink it. Neither can many of my sleeved friends who are out over a yr. put lemon in it or a drop of Mio. I halved mine with vitamin water zero.

Speaking of liquid form.... I almost didn't make it to the bathroom in time. I have such pain in my incisions at night that Tylenol doesn't cut it but at least I feel human again during the day. Glad you're better. (((Hugs)))

My gas pains were excruciating. But now they are almost all gone. Hang in there. I bet when u get on a ppi you'll find that you have little hunger

Thanks, today was a new day and I felt better. I'm thrilled that we get this chance to restart. Yesterday I went to the bathroom like 4 times and my intestinal gas was then gone. The gas in my body cavity gets me every now n then but for the most part it's dissipated. I'm ready to rock this thing!

Heck no. I can't afford that. You're such a lucky ducky to have such an amazing dad. I'm glad you're doing well. I can't wait til we are a few months down the road just rockin n rollin along

At least y'all got pain meds. My insurance sucks ass. I had to get liquid lortab from my sister. I'd just like to give a shout out to the makers of vitamin water zero... I love you and thank you for keeping me hydrated. Lmao

All of my tastes changed. I can't drink plain Water. Anything sweet literally gags me , and so it's hard for me to find things that settle right. I can't wait to progress to puréed foods in 2 weeks. I know it gets tiring and boring but remember to take a ppi antacid Bc acid mimics hunger. I take protonix twice daily and a lot of others take it, or omeprezole. Also, when u post on these boards you're gonna get all sorts of different views. Please don't be discouraged. We do not want to see anyone fail. Sometimes people are very blunt, but you take what you can from all of the posters and leave what advice that doesn't work for you out of the equation. What works for someone may not work for you. This lifestyle change is very hard. But yes, we are here to support you. Lots of (((hugs))), April

Omg! It sucks monkey balls to be a side sleeper. That is now the only time I need pain medicine. Of course my insurance won't cover liquid lortab so I'm screwed Bc I can afford to pay over $80 for a bottle of it. But then found out my sister had some so I'm gonna sleep well tonight. Shersun, Jen, glitter, Leigh Anne, CC and SJ (and others, you know who you are) I just wanted to thank you guys for keeping me in your thoughts and sending positive energy my way. Once I got home there was no restrictions on clears at all. I sipped and sipped. But I was told to take my antacid/ppi daily Bc acid will feel like hunger. I take protonix. Some people take omeprezole etc. so be sure you're taking one

I got a strainer to strain out the pieces in soups. Since everything tastes so nasty I was very happy that the yogurt wasn't too nasty like jello, Popsicles and sf drink mixers are.

My office considers it a full liquid. I'm glad Bc it gave me a bit of energy

Me too. It sat really well and I ate it super slow and careful. Tomorrow I'm going to try a protein soup n see how I do

Guess what?!?! Able to eat 1/2 container of Greek yogurt. I feel accomplished. I'm just waiting to get my cue to run to the restroom. Lol My insurance would cover my lovanox blood thinner injections and my zofran but not my liquid lortab. They wanted me to pay $75 for that. Bs! If I wanted the tablets it would be covered. But I can't take the tablets. And do I hope I am past the point of significant pain.

I hope so Bc I just blew up my bathroom. Lol

You're gonna do great. Even as rough as I had it I'd do it all over again. The first couple days are a bit rough, but each day gets better.

My surgeon says for me not to worry about protein just yet. First we get in sugar free liquids and that's all I need on my mind. Then comes proteins a week or so later. As for popping a out a poop, my bro in law sharted and only realized it once he got up to walk. So yeah, do not trust a fart this early on. My sister was like "well, I just had to wash Doug's ass, this is my punishment in life" lol

It took me like 15 minutes of strenuous wiping. Lol

Lol at least I got to stick my own suppository up my butt last night. And I pottied 3 times today

As bad as mine was I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I'm headed home now. Thank you all for your encouragement. It means so much! SJ is still in the hospital having problems with fluid intake so be sure n keep her in your thoughts.

I'm told that's normal by the nurses on staff here and by my surgeon. Another thing, sweet tastes make me gag. A lot. Popsicles, jello, crystal lite. All of it seems like the sweetness is magnified. I can only use enough Mio or crystal lite to barely turn my water pink.
