Any New Uk Sleevers Out There?
rcc replied to Scottishlassie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I feel so glad it's done and know it just takes time now but dietician says I will be unrecognisable in a year it really feels at the moment that nothing has been done and I had 6 small cuts on belly the only one that bruised badly was the main one , I have just a week left on fluids then move on to puréed food for two weeks .. It really is a life changer if you just follow the advise ... -

I was given to take home liquid paracetamol , anti acid reflux drug, laxatives and they are all if you need them which I did not but fragmin is the anti blood clot injection I had to self do for 7 days it did sting a bit but I thought it's only once a day for a week .. Where is your surgery taking place .. Rich -

Liquids seem to go down quick is this rught ?
rcc posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello all I am two weeks post op and it seems that liquids seem to go down quick with no trouble unlike previous two weeks .. Where a protein shake would take an hour last week thus week it takes 5 minutes so I am consciously making it last as long as I can .. And last night I had a small tin of soup which I sip from a cup and for the first time managed it all .. Is this normal ? Also I drink a cup if coffee now as I did before the op it is decaf but I am just worried am I drinking too much liquid ?? -

Congratulations .. Im 8 days sleeved and it gets better each day uncomfort was more day 2 day 3 .. Simple instructions pee and take in fluids it gets easier as you will not drink a great deal day 1-2 then get your head in gear and the rest will follow given time

Hi all I was sleeved on the 9 th October here in the uk Agree that the incisions are itching so a good sign of healing the only other discomfort is when I lye in bed at night it can be slight pain taking deeper breaths like the ribs are bruised but all in all my first ever op and the pain has been minimal just occasionally the odd more painful twinge and drinking is a lot better than day 2 and relived that toilet habits are settling down to more normal than days 1-3 .. Good luck all x

I was brought home from the hospital but thought it was not much different than driving myself in the hazards are exactly the same etc .. I however was told it may come down to your insurance to drive not covering you for a certain period after an op ..

Constapation post sleeve advice please
rcc replied to rcc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for the advice it's very welcome it's just a bit tricky working out aches and pains from the op to wanting to go .. It's not uncomfortable though and hope time will sort things out .. -
Know it's not the best of subjects but the last time I had a movement was 6 dats ago I was sleeved 4 days ago and had a laxative today but it was yuck !! I don't want to squeeze too hard but wondered when I should worry .. Liquids are going down well even though it's just decaf. Coffee and will start protein shakes later and perhaps another yucky laxative drink how long was it for you ? Thank you

Surely though with the small amount of pizza and Chinese you say you have had would not result in weight gain ? Just my view .
