Ouch!! I was sleeved on 9/9 and the week after surgery I was going number two then I just stopped. I was so uncomfortable!! I started taking mirelax and after the second dose I went. I take it every night now with hot tea and I go to the bathroom about every other day.

The first couple of days suck! But it gets easier, just keep yourself busy.

Watch out for uti's!!

The doctor told me 4 weeks. I'm on week 3. But I have absolutely no desire.

Yes!! Those are saving my life right now!!

I think it just depends on what you do for a living. I'm a hairdresser and I took 2 and a half weeks. I felt great when I got back. Occasional back pain when I work too long without a break, but nothing I can't handle.

Mine were pretty much healed in a week. Even my large incision wasn't all that big. Did you have the stitches or staples?

Lol I don't see what the big problem is as long as you're staying hydrated.

Decaf should be fine, but my doctor said no caffeine for 3 months, after 3 months, only one caffeinated beverage per day.

It went great!! I had my sleeve done on 9/9 so it's been about 10 days and I'm down exactly 20 pounds!! I'm so happy! And I got the go ahead from my doctor to start soft foods. Yayyyy! I never want to look at another jello again. We also got to test out the different vitamins, so I bought those too. Pretty tasty. All in all I'm super pleased with my progress and I can't wait to see where I'll be a month from now.

I had some tonight. I'm 9 days post op. My post op appointment is tomorrow morning. Now hear me out, I went to see a family member from out of town at a restaurant, I ordered the cup of tortilla Soup and decided to give it a try. I had them take the tortilla strips out. I only ate the soupie part, the cheese, very little avocado and the chicken. I chewed everything THOROUGHLY before swallowing SLOWLY and carefully. Tried not to talk much while I ate. I ate until I was comfortable. Not full, not stuffed. And I feel absolutely 100% fine. Thank the good lord. Anyway, I'm excited about my post op tomorrow goodnight to all.

Yeah. Everything was soft, it was just the chicken I was worried about, but I chewed it real good, and it went down just fine.
