    Before and After Pics

You look 15+ years younger! Beautiful!
  2. Went a little crazy on Pinterest! I haven't yet allowed myself to begin shopping for the new "me". It's just so surreal!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Right there with ya! My multivitamin and the Life Water I'm drinking are giving me enough B12, should I add a tablet? Maybe it's a lack of protein. I'm not at 60 grams/day yet. I'm around 40.

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Anyone else exhausted? The last two days I've been SO tired. I'm 11 days post-op and am eating nothing but protein and drinking liquids all day. Thoughts? Tips?
  5. Lane Bryant has always been a reliable staple, and I cannot wait to never step foot in that store again!!!!
  6. Yay! I knew it'd work for you! I needed it after my sleeve, and after my last c-section. Works like a charm :-)
  7. My husband goes back to work today too, leaving me with our eight year old twins and our four year old. It'll be a lot of "sure you can play video games!" "yes to tv!" in our house today!
  8. Milk of Magnesia. Take it, and then stick close to home!
  9. Yeah, I've been surprised at how differently my doctor does things vs. others. I didn't have a liquid-only pre-op diet (only low carb, low fat), he doesn't want his patients to have protein shakes post-op, I'm suppose to drink two glasses of milk a day, etc. He's an incredibly skilled, highly-rated physician, so I don't question his procedures, it's just interesting that his guidelines are so different!
  10. I was sleeved on the 17th, and am still in quite a bit of pain. I'm also very tired. I'm trying not to beat myself up for not getting in all the protein, liquids and walking, because I know it will all come in time. I drank an entire cup of milk today! I blended it with powdered milk (for extra protein), cinnamon, nutmeg, a stevia packet and some ice. It tasted like egg nog (which I love). I have not weighed myself; I don't want to gain an obsession with the numbers on the scale. I do know I have lost quite a bit of weight, which feels great. I know a disappointing number on the scale that didn't coincide with how I felt would only bring me down. I will know specifically what I've lost at my two week follow up. It's so nice to be able to share with you all! Keep the updates coming!

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Hi I'm Jennifer. I was sleeved on the 17th and and am back at home, still not 100% but feeling better by minute by minute. I was sleeved at Fraedtert Hospital in Milwaukee by Dr. Wallace, who was amazing by the way. My main issue right now is that I am having trouble getting all of my liquids in. I feel like I was sipping all day and only got it about 32 ounces, if not less. How is everyone else doing with their liquid intake? I'm also having more pain than I anticipated at my incision sites but they're not red or swollen or hot or anything so I'm thinking all is well. I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to pain anyway!
  12. I feel the same way. I have three small kids, and my mind races sometimes with anxiety & worry. What it comes down to is that we never know when it's our time to go, but while we're here, we should do everything we can to make "our time to go" as far into the future as possible. Statistically, this surgery should increase your lifespan. Take comfort in that, and know that you're doing this for your childrens' future, and yours.

    Wisconsin VSGrs?

Hi! I'm being sleeved at Froedtert in Milwaukee on December 17th. I have Dr. Wallace. Anyone else have him? I love his straight-forward, no-nonsense approach. I'm curious about the hospital stay at Froedtert. I could've gone to Dean in Madison (we live in between Madison and Milwaukee), which seems much nicer, almost like a hotel - but chose Milwaukee because of the good reviews of Dr. Wallace.
