I've just learned about this website and am anxious to share info with others. I've been thinking about surgery for a number of years and decided a couple of months ago to have the surgery. I plan to have the Des Moines sometime in November, 2013, probably right before Thanksgiving! I had to weight the 6 months for the insurance otherwise I would be doing this post op now. I'm 63 years young and a 14 year breast cancer survivor and probably more nervous about this surgery than my mastectomy, my worry is succeeding & not failing. I just had my first support group yesterday and learned quite a lot at the class. I just finished my psych eval about 2 weeks ago and had my stress test 9/5/13. My biggest problem right now is breaking the Dt. Mtn Dew habit. I've been drinking it for about 40 years now and have been trying to wean myself off of the stuff the past month, doing pretty good but have started drinking the 5 hour energy to get my bones moving in the morning. Anyone have any suggestions on this issue?
