How Do You Plan Your Meals?
HHHappy replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I voted that I sit down on weekends and plan the week. That's what I've always done and what I will continue to do. However, I'm only 6 weeks out and not everything tastes "right" so my menu planning is on hold for now for myself (but I plan for others in household). I do buy a variety of Protein and eat what sounds good or what I can tolerate. -

A few questions from a pre-op if you don't mind
HHHappy replied to Wires's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The drinking rule is for life. You'll get used to it. It took me awhile but I'm fine with it now. unjury.com - chocolate splendor is a good Protein as well as their strawberry sorbet. Premier Protein makes a ready to drink in choc and vanilla. VERY GOOD. After surgery they seemed a little thick to me but can be watered down. Syntrax Nectars are good protein powders, too. They makes some that aren't "milky" but more like fruit juice. It's a nice change. My doctor didn't require a pureed stage. He also doesn't like Snacks but your doctor may be ok with it. -

Pain in left lower stomach

Are you sure it isn't coming from an area close to an incision? Internal stitches can pull when you bend or lay down and get up. -
2 things that worried me the most.
HHHappy replied to Jenelle's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I, too, was sooooo worried about the gas. I HAD NONE! Before surgery, I ordered lots of samples of Protein so that after surgery, I would have several to pick from. As long as you are taking your Vitamins and getting protein in, you shouldn't have malnutrition issues. I don't eat a lot but I do make sure I get my protein in, both with real food and protein powders. -
way to go!!! keep up the great work!

I've been drinking Syntrax Nectar Lemon Tea with Crystal light peach mango tea mixed with it. It's very good. I mix both in 20 oz of water. So i get protein AND water in that way. Just a suggestion!

congrats!! Hope you recovery continues to be great!!
