Good to see that everyone's doing well and SURVIVING our pre -op diet. Just made it through day 13. Tomorrow is the last day with my normal stomache. NOV 1st is my re- birthday!

Survived first of three days CLEAR LIQUID. Did 2 ISOPURE plus 1 cup of swansons tortilla soup BROTH today and water and some V-8 splash lite... Total calories- 600 protein- 80 grams.

Survived the 1st day day of clear liquid diet.i highly recommend Swansons tortilla soup BROTH. Very spicy, yum! I did 2 ISOPURE and I cup of broth. 2 days Til surgery.

And I don't like the idea of guzzling anything down before bed. It just sits there! The point of food is energy to sustain you through the day. I would not wanna force feed myself. We're supposed to be breaking bad habits and replacing with healthy ones. Call the Doc!

That's alot of food compared to many of us. Mine, for instance is 2 shakes and the lettuce and lean protein salad plus if absolutely nessasary drink a third shake. I would talk to doc or coordinator. Ask them if u can cut back. That's alot!!!! I could barely do the three plus salad. I've lost a lb a day on pre op diet. Are u losing any weight on yours? Not that that is the intention but it's a nice side effect

Good luck kyrie! You got this. It's going to be so worth it! I'm on day 11 liquid diet. First day of clear today. Friday is sleeve day! Limit the temptations and put yourself first. This is your priority. I wish I would have done this when I was younger. You have your whole life ahead of you :-)

If so... When did they say to stop shaving? Or is this just a Mexico thing? Someone said their surgeon said no shaving because it could lead to infection. Anyone know anything about this???

Ok thanks you guys, that's what I thought I heard. I don't know about Nair (hate that nasty stuff, eww) But waxing ...I'm going to guess...no, because you're opening up your pores, and do we really know how long it takes them to close down? Unless your doc says ok, I would error on the side of caution with that one, personally.

All these last minute questions. It occurs to me I don't have alot of detail questions answered. Do we bring vitamins for post op, does anyone know?

I heard they want to be able to see if you're turning blue/ oxegyen levels. True or not? Otherwise I'm getting a pre op pedicure.

What?! You're having your surgery on your birthday?! How cool is that!!! Happy Re- Birthday in advance. SF jello it is! And that'll be our new holiday dessert as well. It's ok. My grandma used to say... A moment on the lips... Equals a lifetime on the hips! ( let's nip that problem right now) Best wishes!!!

Wow. I guess it's finally sinking in. This is it. Tomorrow starts three days of clear liquid. Then it's GO TIME! Seems like it took sooo long to get here. And now it's like OMG it's really happening! Fortunately I have a million things to do in these next three days so time should fly. Hope I have energy on clear liquid. Oh well. No turning back... It's show time!

Hospital Angeles is a full fledged hospital. I'm being sleeved at Mi Doctor Hospital in a few days. It is a specialty hospital for bariatrics only. Then there are the strip mall type clinics. The only one place that I've heard bad things about is NOVA. It is said to be not suited for medical tourism or up to our standards. If someone out there has used them and has a different perspective, pls feel free to comment. That's based on what I've read.

Just finished day 10 and I'm getting cranky. I have one last nerve , so please don't get on it. Lol. Tomorrows my last day before CLEAR liquid. That's when I probably go from set to beeotchiness in two seconds flat How's everyone doing today???

Day 10 of 14. Today and tomorrow are the last two where I can have shakes, lettuce and lean protein. Then it's three days of clear liquid. Down about a lb a day on this pre op. how's everyone doing on their pre op???

Is it indoors or outdoors? Anyone know what the weather is like there towards the end of this month? I was planning on bringing a bathing suit and spending some time in the pool the night before surgery. Is that realistic at this time of year? (In 13 days)
