I am on day two of seven day pre op. Mainly clear liquids but can include cream soups. Day one was not bad but I did eat a protein bar. Today will be easier because I am out of the house most of the day carrying water and protein drink with me -
I am scheduled for Oct. 22. I have seen some information on television that alcohol dependency increases with people who have weight loss surgery. Are folks allowed to drink after surgery? What is the effect of alcohol post surgery?

These are such great suggestions. I see my surgeon on Friday with surgery the 22nd. I am on my pre op now. I did learn that he normally does a 36 boogie. -

Weighing In....How Ofter is Too Often?

In our class our Nut suggested only weekly. We were also informed that stalls would happen most likely at 6 weeks, 3months, 6. Months, and a year. -
I was told to definitely see my family physician at week three after surgery as changes may have to be made in my regular meds (BP, cholesterol ) as the weight loss might affect it. This is in addition to my follow up by my surgeon. He wanted "two sets of eyes on me". I'm not sleeved until the 22nd but have set up my appt.
