kinda wondering why most surgeons reccommend whey protien instead of the isolat with zero carbs i always thoguht whey protien made you gain weight and the zero carb actually did the same as the whey but without the carb intake which would eventually help with weight loss. Can someone please enlighten me on this???

Well its probably nothing but i was excited about being cleared for normal foods but for some reason i cant really have more than a bite of anything because i have a nauseating feeling and want to puke and its pretty painful i guess its just adjustment issues but it gets old quick and there are times i jus wish to quit foods all together liquids are extremely fine like fruit smoothies, water juice or stuff like that. ALso i have read the usually the stomach is still irritated and mayb swollen still from the procedure up to 8 weeks so could be that too anyone have this issue but on the plus side lost 3 more pounds lol so there is a bright side. -

hey thanx for the advice Aspiring yea thats exactly how i feel trying to get in 3 meals a day feels impossible. YEa i have been trying to change it up every chance i get but ive seen i can tolerate foods but cant mix for example il have grilled chicken and some steamed brocolli a real small amount but couldnt hold it down now if i just have chicken thats fine or just veggies thats fine too. but i do hope swelling goes down and can get some food in and thanx about my weight loss im pretty surprised myself plus now that im going back to the gym i hope to keep it up at this pace if not well then hey life goes on! hope your journey is going well also -

Gus posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
well just got back from the doctor and i had taken in some blood work to see my current state he was impressed. Ive lost 36 pounds and feel pretty good. Well the good news for me personally started when he said well now you can eat pretty much anything slowly but surely,he finally decided to put me on protien supplement and some type of vitamins which i am estatic about since i was into the whole gym thing before i injured my back an opted weight loss surgery and most of all i can finally go back to the gym also i can finally go swimming whoch is important since i live in the caribbean being surrounded by beaches and pools and only soaking my feet was torture well this was just a happy rant hope you dont mind! thanks -
has anyone been sleeved that had 50-60 pounds to lose?
Gus replied to nomorecupcakes's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
mostly everyone here has 50 or more pounds to loose anyone who doesnt probably wont need surgery. Also everyones body is different and assumes the surgery their own way but i have lost 36 pounds in a month and a half no complaints what so ever. -
No weight loss - 8 days post op
Gus replied to runnergirlsmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To sum it all up Relax dont take it the wrong way you might be filled to the brim with gas or like tapsnap said you might be filled with water retention.Trust me itll come off and dont get worried too quick because you will stall again its normal to stall just have faith enjoy your new life dont over stress yourself about it itll come off eventually it has no choice. ALSO when your not losing pounds you might be just losing inches so verify that too -
i said i wont lie about it because im proud of the life changing decision i came to but i will warn you the Questions get boring quick!! number one most asked question How Much Have You Lost?! and i just say idk What do you mean you dont know? 2.Are you goin to have loose skin? 3. DID it hurt? 4.HOw long til you can eat? 5.can you have sex?? like really i had weight loss surgery i wasnt castrated lol so just have a sense of humor when all these pop up because they will. also the most annoying part is whe your close friends that know say it for you ¨Yea he just had surgery hes lookin thinner than ever¨and im just like DUDE! i dont even know this person lol if i was the one with surgery why the hell would u say anything about it and not me lol its like their personal achievement that i had surgery. But hey its all cool if this happens to you dont worry itll get more akward as we go. Anyother questions that get you bored quick???? ohh almost forgot another one you know you have to get back in the gym quick so you can buff and tone up!!! NO $h&% SHERLOCK lol but its all love

What did you tell people?!?!?
Gus replied to LeahJade's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i just told them the truth matter of fact i told them before they even asked jajaja ive never been keen to feeling ashamed of anything why start now i am an adult and i do with my life and money as i please and especially if its a positive health wise for me pretty much blocks any neg. feedback about it. -
it can be due to a couple of reasons maybe caloric intake or diet plan might need a change or change your workout routine the body is an amazing tool but also a stubborn one it tends to adapt to situations and timing so maybe changing things up can help shock your body back into track but thats just my opinion.
