Ok I'm taking my kids to Olive Garden tonight to celebrate good grades. I'm 3 weeks post op and am doing soft foods, any suggestions on what I can get besides soup? After 3 weeks of full liquid, I'm souped out!! Thanks

What about stuffed mushrooms? There's breadcrumbs, but that shouldn't be similar to eating plain bread right?

Thanks! I know I should avoid pasta, but is it because of the carb thing or is it not safe for the sleeve? Just wondering about that part, I'm a huge pasta girl and I was thinking about whole wheat noodles??

How long after surgery do I have to chew like crazy? Will I have to do this forever or is there a time when I can start eating like I used to do, but take smaller bites of course? It's already getting old pulverizing my food haha

I don't want to inhale my food, I'm just tired of pretty much liquefying it before swallowing. That's what I was meaning

I will also be 3 weeks out tomorrow! I'm supposed to start my puréed tomorrow, but I have no desire to do so! I plan on doing soft but to the point I can purée it with my teeth! I've been on full liquids for 3 weeks and I want to chew!!

Am supposed to start my puréed diet tomorrow, I will be 3 week post op tomorrow. Will it hurt anything if I start today? A day early? I want a scrambled egg sooooo bad!

I would do powerade zero.

Will it hurt anything if I drink too fast? Or to much at once? I'm not having any pain with drinking and I'm just wondering if I can start drinking somewhat normal again?

Hi everyone I am 9 days post op and on a full liquid diet for 2 more weeks. I have a question, I made top raumen today just to get a different taste of soup, I put it in my nutri bullet and it was almost completely blended. It was plenty thin as I was able to pour it right off my spoon, but when I took a bite there were tiny pieces of noodles still so I chewed them up like crazy before i swallowed. Do you think there's a chance I could have messed anything up by still swallowing the tiny noodles? I only had 2 tbsp. thanks

. I'm on day 5 right now. My doc says I can have oatmeal but it has to be blended and thinned.

I put my pack of instant oatmeal in my nutri bullet before I mix it with the milk until it's ground to a powder and it works greatfor me!

Today is surgery day for me also!

I am having surgery this Thursday the 19th in Reno Dr. Kozar is doing mine. I'm so excited and scared all at the same time!!

I am scheduled for Sept. 24th! I'm sooo nervous and excited all at the same time! I can't wait to see myself transform into something that I can finally be proud of seeing on the mirror or pictures!
