About Me
I plan on going to Mexico this year, or beginning of next. Have to renew my passport. I love all the positivity (is that a word) on this board !I just turned 60 in July.
Have had life changes in the past 3 months that I didn't choose. Was notified in June that I was going to be downsized from my position as a sales consultant, after almost 29 years, effective 1 August, 2013. We are a blended family, raised a total of 5 girls, 2 of mine and 3 of his. Larry had two adult children when we met, so we have a total of 7 children, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children. Yep, Larry was a cradle robber... he was 12 years older than me.
July 19, my husband of 26 years, and the love of my life, had a massive heart attack in our living room. He died the next day. I am still reeling from that.
I have steadily gained about 5 pounds a year for the last 25 years or so, went from 103 to what I am now. I have dieted, exercised, gone to therapy, danced with Richard Simmons in my basement, etc and have lost and gained, lost and gained. I was working on getting approval for the sleeve when I was downsized. I still have insurance, but the insurance does not pay for weight loss surgery. I don't know if they will pay for the surgery if I can prove need. I have sleep apnea, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis, relapsing-remitting. I know the MS has nothing to do with my weight, other than it is harder for me to balance, but. the other two may help to qualify me... I will ask my doctor later this month.
If I self pay, I will go to Mexico. So far I have really not heard anything negative. Yes, I did read about one death, and that could have happened in the US. Death just happens, period. I look forward to "meeting" my new weight loss buddies.
