Totally normal!! Dreaded 3rd week stall.. So frustrating.. I too promise it will pass..
-
Sorry I think I missed last week. But this week, 203..

I had heartburn/gerd prior to my surgery. After surgery, my heartburn more than doubled. I was taking 40mg Prilosec twice a day. I am now taking 60mg of dexilant twice a day. It helps, but the heartburn at times is just there. I went back in for an endoscopy and learned I still have a hiatal hernia. My surgeon recommended fixing it again (had one repaired @ time of sleeve). After consulting with my primary dr and seeing a specialist he recommended, I'm going to continue with the dexilant, adjust my diet and try a wedge pillow. Good luck!

October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!
HardWork13 replied to nik2nite's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
me too! We have almost identical stats. My HW was 287, SW was 271 CW 203. Sleeved 10/21/13. I hope we make it to onederland before we know it! -
204. One slow pound in the right direction...
-
I was sleeved on October 21, 2013. I also had a hiatal hernia repair. I was hopeful that that, combined with the sleeve, would reduce my heartburn. It has increased twofold. I now take a higher dose medication. I just went through my 2nd endoscopy, upper gi series and a cat scan only to learn I still have the hernia! My bariatric surgeon suggests a second surgery. My primary says the exact opposite and has referred me to a thoracic surgeon. Has anyone else dealt with this?? Thanks in advance.
