    Neuropathy nerve pain?

I hope that's true that weight loss will help with peripheral neuropathy. I have it in my feet, but not reason was ever determined why I have it.
  2. I had my surgery on Wednesday April 16 th. Surgery went great I was told. Day of surgery I was so groggy and shakey . I took the sips every 15 min, at first I could really tell when the water made it to the stomach. It did hurt some, but now 4 days post op the sips of clear liquids are much easier and I'm taking in more. Still not at 64oz a day yet. My doctor told me I could start full liquids when I left the hospital the day after surgery, but after talking with dietician , I'm going to be more cautions and stay on clears as close to 1 week post op. I have tried diluted sf pudding to take nasty tasting medications with. Only diluted full liquid I've tried. I can tell I've lost weight already, amazing.

  6. Good information! I'm still in the pre-op process of meeting with dietician and soon will start the psych evaluation part.
  7. I am also looking at March or April for my surgery. Started seeing dietician in September. Saw her again in October, and have 3 rd appointment with her in November. I have BCBS insurance, and am required to have 6 months of supervised dietary counciling before surgery. I don't have any of the other appointments made yet. I open the dietician or someone at the bariatric office will help me with setting those up. Anxious to get going, but little worried about the small amount of food I'll be able to eat.
  8. I started my 6 month required medically supervised diet the middle of September 2013. I met with the dietician, we talked about my past ways of trying to loose weight, tips for getting ready for life after WLS. I wasn't told I have to loose a specific amount of weight. But I'm to incorporate new habits of not having liquids with meals, smaller bites, and chewing well. So if all goes as planned I'm excited about the prospect of having vertical sleeve done in March or April 2014! I'll be following this site to stay connected with others that are on the same timeframe as I am!
  9. How disappointing for you.but it was the right thing to do at the time. Good luck with your next step.
