Has anyone ever told you about head hunger? That was a problem for me after my sleeve but I have dealt with it by thinking am I really hungry or was it head hunger. When I really don't know I get busy doing something and if the hunger doesn't go away then I know I need to eat.
-
Yes I too thought about the band but the more I learned the more I didn't want it. The erosion and slippage and other complications I decided to go with the sleeve and the reason why I went with the sleeve is least invasive and by removing the stomach that contains the hormone ghrelin that makes us hungry would be removed. I was sleeved on Aug. 21 and no regrets. Good and luck and will be thinking of you.

I am wondering that also.

good luck which you won't need because you'll do fine.

I am wondering if 64 oz. of water is really needed by all people. Or do some people only need 40 oz. I cannot get 64 oz. in. And another question. Is chewable multi vits. are for life or certain period. They too are getting hard to take.

Thank you for sharing. Appreciate the info. -
I was told by my doctors office yes, popsicles and jello also counted,
-
At Wal mart now they have protein shots. 42 grams of protein. I measured out 1/2 put it in 32 oz of water and can hardly taste the shot. And this way I am getting 21 grams of protein and my water. I hope to get the rest of my protein in with food.

I got where I couldn't stand another shake so I tried Isopure. I added a grape crystal lite that to Iospure and added some more water and it tasted great. Make sure you take stool softeners I found that the protein really messed me up. Might not bother you but just remember. One way to get your water in.

Lipstick lady, I am 61 years old and I have never Ever used that word. It is very offensive to me and I will tell anyone not to use that word in front of me or my grandchildren. you use the f word in your business you would not have mine business. And if you went to church you mean you would speak that way in the house of God? By the way I am done with this topic tomorrow is a new day and I will say a prayer for you and for everybody that uses that word. Nice chatting will you and have a good night.
-
Whatever. Still didn't explain how the f word is used in the sentences. And I am done.with this subject. All I can say if you don't use the f word in front of your boss, church family, pastor, etc. why use it.
-
To Lipstick, did you scold LouiseC too? I would love for someone explain the F word to me, is it a subject, noun, adjective, adverb. I do know it is a verb. So how was her rant using the f word used in a sentence. And so sorry if I offend you. And maybe when she is over her petty party she'll see that it was a good decision to have her sleeve.

What I say to my self is, It will on taste good for a little while. And is the food really important enough to have to start over and to lose the weight you gained.

I too am 61 and no I am not worried. It is the way a person comes across. If you don't want attention don't bring attention to your self. -
Where are you from? I had mine done at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. From the first lecture to surgery was 3 months. The time went by fast. What I did before I was told my surgery date I was testing different protein shakes and I even started using them to get a jump start in getting in the habit of drinking them. Hang in there you'll be glad to had the surgery. I am 5 weeks out and down 29 1/2 pounds.

Feedback Appreciated

I have gone thru the same thing. What has helped me is Isopure drinks add crystal lite and it changes the flavor but now have no problem getting in my water or protein. Isopure has 40 grams of protein. I pour Isopure in a 32 oz bottle, crystal lite and add water to 32 oz. mark. Another is I take 1.4 c of fat free greek yogurt and a snack pack of sf vanilla pudding stir together and add pumpkin pie spice to add some more flavor. But try and stay with what the doctors tell you to eat so you won't harm your stomach. -
Swimming after the 4 week mark and I was riding after 2 weeks but I didn't have the okay. I wasn't thinking and I felt fine.

I had Dr. Morales and he is great. Easy to talk too. I had my surgery on Aug. 21 and down 25 lbs. The stay at the hospital was great. Everyone was nice and caring. If I had to do it over again I still would go to Dr. Morales. Good luck with your sleeve.

Mine was.

Crystal lite, ice tea, popsicles, jello. That was what I was told. It all counts at liquid.

You might not be able to handle the lactose. Use water. -
Have I tried HARD ENOUGH?

For one thing quit telling everybody. You will find on this web that their are a lot of people who don't tell. My husband was the only who knew what I was and had done. Then two days after I told my two daughters and still haven't told anyone. Next, I had my surgery on Wed. was off of metformin on thurs. For health reasons only was enough for me to do the sleeve. No regrets. Yes it is a life changing choice but I am ready. Good luck to you.
