    Abnormal EKG

Brinana, I have to go in to have my gallbladder removed on the 20th of this month. How was your surgery. I had sleeve surgery in July and down 100 pounds so this is sometimes the issue with fast weight loss. I have large stones. Just curious if you stayed one night or more? How was the pain etc. Where you having pain or did they just find the stones and have to get it removed prior to the sleeve surgery. Also on your topic I too had to go to a cardiologist because I had abnormal EKG. I had the same and I was cleared after my test. I hope the same for you. Good luck.
  3. Glad to hear all went well and your back home. Was 1:30 the next day so you stayed over night or went home same day? I assume over night but have heard others in and out same day. Gosh I hope it is not harder than the sleeve surgery for me. I had a lot of pain and was on pain meds for 2 weeks post sleeve. I did have a hiatal hernia a very large one so I thoughyt maybe that is why. I did not have any other issue no feeling sick or anything just stomach pain from all the tugging. So I am praying it is a little easier for me. Anyway glad to hear you are doing well. I go in on the 18th for pre op and surgery on the 20th. I had put it off due to having another large deductible to have to pay again since it is the beginning of a new year. So counting the days. By the way did you have to do any liquid diet prior or just our normal diet. I will talk to my doc just was wondering what yours said.
  4. premier Protein and muscle milk.

    When did you stop?

7 months and I still drink one in the morning. It starts me off with a bang of Protein. I love muscle milk 100 calorie shake. Have a tun in my house. Have every morning.
  6. I agree with Mitsysj. I go for sushi once a week with my family. I always have just shashimi tuna or salmon with chicken satay, edamame and seaweed salad. Keeping all intake around 4 oz.- 5 oz. I still stay away from the rice at 7 months to keep my carbs low.
  7. I am 7 months out and I just have noticed in the last month or so it is mostly gone. I am sure it is dependent on how much everyone has to lose and how and where they hold their weight. When I was younger I always had my weight mostly in my lower body but as I got older it was in my mid area also. So 7 months for me. I lift weights 4 days a week and working my core is one of the most important area for me.
  8. Alicha, I am 7 months post op and I am down 100 pounds. I started having a small pain ( like a 2 or 3) right under my right rib. I had feared it might be my gallbladder because I had heard so much about almost 30% of WLS patients may have issues. I called my doctor to be safe and I went in and they did ultrasound. I have very large gallstones so they are taking out my GB in two weeks. I have to say I was a little depressed having to go through surgery again. I am starting to feel better mentally now so I guess it is best to be safe than sorry I keep telling myself. I wish you a very speedy recovery and hope you are feeling better.
  9. Well I just found out I have large Gallstones and have to have my Gallbladder removed. I am feeling so depressed for the first time since sleeved in July 2013. I really don't know why I seem so down about it. I have done a lot of research and seems that with my rapid weight loss this has caused it. I keep thinking if it had come off slower than this may not have happened. I have always been " The cup is half full" person and this really has me down. I am sorry for venting. I just feel that I know you all and you all understand the journeys we have. This is my first bump. I had no complication's after being sleeved and just felt lucky. So here I am ready to cry. If anyone is out there with positive vibes please send them my way. I really need it.
  10. Fat head yes I have this too. I must say the only time I have it is when I am shopping. I have gone from a 22-24 to a 12. I still stand there and stare at the 18's and say no Ann you are a 12. I battle this... I look at the pants and think no way then go to fitting room and they fit, Still baffles me. Now the mirror is the weird one. I do not look at my self and think fat. Every day I am wow looking good but now I feel I have to stop looking in the mirror. I don't want to be vain. I find myself walking by mirrors stopping and thinking " really that is me?" My head just has not caught up yet. It is more shock than me thinking I am fat. I am 6 months.
  11. Congratulation's to you All!! I am so excited for you guys. I remember having those feelings and was so stressed over it. I have a 9 year old and was worried too like all the others here have posted the same. It is so normal for you guys to feel this way. All I can say is I WISH I HAD DONE THIS SOONER. One thing I did to stop the stress was to make sure I had a back up plan if I was in the hospital longer than 1 day. I prepared my family, I packed bags for my son to stay with Nanna and sister etc. I made lists. I felt that the more organized I was the less stress I had. You all can do this!! This was the best thing I have ever done. It only get's better from here. Sleeved in July ...... took photo in Dec....
  12. So all day today I have had a throb or a pinch that comes and goes. It is not to bad. It is like a 3 on a scale of 10. It happens like every 5 to 10 min and really is not painful just irritating. My concern is it is right under my ribs on the right side around the upper stomach area. I called my doctor bu it was late in the day. They called me back and left a voicemail that I need to go in for an ultra sound tomorrow. I am 6 months out. My questions is for anyone that has had their Gallbladder removed. Did it start off like this and then get more painful or was it like bam and hurt right at first. I hope I don't have to get it removed. I am down 100 pounds in 6 months and I know that rapid weight loss is one of the causes. Anyone had this?
  13. I am 6 months and my hair started falling out aroud 3.5 months. In the beginning it was kind of shocking. I would run my fingers though my hair and a clump would come out. I have long hair and very thick. I tried not to stress about it. I figured I used to use a thinning sheer 2 times a year to thin out my hair so really it would be about the same. I am 6 months now and it has slowed a lot. Not coming out in clumps. I have a lot in the brush but like others I started shampooing my hair every 3 days and braided it so it would not gert tangled. I also let it dry naturrally. Brushing it while it is wet seemed to make the hair come out more. So now slowing down at 6 months. Hope to be done shedding soon.
  14. I too have stopped using mine. I kept having to go back to my sleep doctor because I kept waking up with air blowing to strong from the machine. I went in 3 times to have it adjusted down. I also am married and my husband has been watching me and making sure I do not snore or choke anymore. I sleep soundly etc. I do need to go to the doc again once I am at goal. I believe as Loving Life said that we should get checked again which I am sceduling but I think that in her situation her husband is still snoring and choking which I am not. I don't know about you but I know the differance. When I had it and let's say I fell asleep with out my cpap I would wake up and heart would be racing but not any more I sleep like a baby.

    My journey is FINALLY beginning

    Sleep Apnea & Books

I had sleep Apnea and now I no longer use my cpap. I have to say I really need to go in and test again to be safe. I just don't want to. My husband says I don't choke or snore anymore. I started noticing in the beginning after I had lost bout 40-50 pounds that I would wake up and my mouth was super dry and the air seemed to much. I went in to the doctor 3 times and had to adjust it down. Then the last time I just stopped using it. I am about 100 pounds right now but I think it was around the 50 pound mark for me but I bet this is different for all since we don't weigh the same starting out. There was one lady I met at my support group and she is 6 years out and she has been at goal weight for a long time. She still has it. So I know to be safe I need to go get checked but for now I feel safe because hubby watches over me.
  18. Water and Vitamins. I hate taking the vitamins and I will skip a day sometimes and then remember I forgot. Yuk hate them.

    E cigarettes

Well as a fellow x smoker here I do sympathize with you. I must say I am a little shocked that at 2 days out of surgery you are craving a Cigarette. Did your doctor talk to you about the dangers of cigarette smoke? I am sure he did so that is why you are asking about the E Cigarette but they also have nicotine. I would be so scared to put anything in my stomach right out of surgery. I am 6 months out and I did take a hit off a E cigarette from my sister and it was fine but 6 months out I guess I lost judgment. I was out with sister and was craving one and I gave in and had some of my sisters. I hated myself because I really want to change my life and live healthy and I have worked so hard. It was one blip and I was back on the health wagon. Hang in there and I would talk to your doc about the E cigarette my guess is no but you never know. Take care of your self and hang in there. You have just begun this journey and I wish you the best. I just wanted to tell you I totally understand. I had to quit for 6 months before my surgery so I would not have any cravings. So good luck and wish you a speedy recovery.

    What is this?

When I was 3 months out I was the same. I also had and have the feeling just below my breast bone. This is when I have had enough and stop eating. I still measure my food but never finish it. If it was slider food then yes I could eat more. Since I stay away from slider foods I always have this feeling after I eat about 4 to 6 bites. I think now that I am 6 months out it really is the same for me. When I eat Protein and veggies I get this feeling. If I eat let's say pureed sweet potatoes then I could eat more. I too was eating around 600-800 calories a day in the beginning. I am around 1,000 a day now. On work out days I am more like 1200.
