Hi jktefft, I felt the same way you did but I was able to get through it. I am so glad I did because I really believe that by sticking with it my healing after surgery went much smoother then I thought. The healing process has a lot to do with the Protein you are taking priot to surgery that prepares your body for surgery. Stick with it, you won't regret it.

pain where the stomach is
slthompson replied to DanielleSleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I get a similar feeling, not really pain but just a little uncomfortable. That is my indicator that I need to quit eating, that is my full indicator. -

Need to lose weight quick for surgery
slthompson replied to mswisdom's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I lost 10 pouds in 2 weeks drinking 4 protein shakes a day, light yogurt, sugar free jello and sugar free pudding. This is all I ate every day for two weeks. -
Congratulation! It really is a new life. I had surgery on 8/23/13 and don't regret it for one minute.

I drank Isopure for the first week after surgery. I didn't like the flavors very much but it did give me the protein i needed. It's a little pricey but is easy to drink because its a pure liquid drink.

Hi, I am six weeks out and can only seem to take in about 900 calories per day, if this normal? Don't get me wrong, I am very happy about the continued weight loss I just want to make sure I am getting the correct amount of calories. Thanks everyone for your help! -

When does the hair loss start? I know it will be different for everyone but just wanting to get an idea. I am not looking forward to it. -

Thanks Harley. I am doing pretty well. I can get most of my food in and my liquid and protein for the most part. How are you doing? -

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am just one week postop. Had the vertical sleeve procedure on 8/23. Found this website while searching for answers. So far so good. Getting a little tired of mushy food but it's worth it!
