I am just a month post op but I have seen alot of before and after pictures and videos and the people look younger and I bielive is alot for the clothes,

Is possible to be gas also, try gas x or something for the same porpuse. Walk and relax.

Dr. Perez and dr. verboonen were my surgeons and everything so far has been great except for the food guide given to me after surgery. It is very very basic and I had to ask several questions here or search on the internet. Beside that all about surgery was very very good. I am 4 weeks post op

HEllo, I am 3 weeks post op and I was wondering if anyone could get all the protein only with regular foods (not protein shakes, or adding protein powder to foods, etc). In the near future I will like to get all or almost all my protein by eating regular foods but I don't know if this is possible or not. Will apreciate some of your experiences and ideas. Thanks,

Hi, I am 8 days post Op, just starting my 2nd week but feeling very weak because my Dr's diet does not have any sort of protein until week 3. I'v seen that alot of people are taking protein shakes or powder to mix since first days. Today I just could not help my self and I had a Svelty drink yogourth. I already send an e-mail to my Dr. And I am waiting for hes comments. If you can give me some advice please!!

. Yes, I already send an email to the clinic and the doctor. i think is not ok, also found other errors on the diets for next weeks, on the mesurements it has some oz, cup and liter!!! On 3rth week it saids: cchicken, beans, vegetablrs, tomato, ... But in any part it indicate that this food most be raw or cooked, on pure or peaces. It is a very dissapointing issue about the service. Sorry for my spelling. English is not my original languaje. I live in Mexico, I will look for those clear protein on Gnc. Thank you!

It is the same as 1rst week. Clear liquids, chicken broth, posicles, gatorade, fruit juce.

Thank you Indigo for your posts. Find them very positive!!! Thank you. Even this post has months I am 4 days post op and feeling the same way. But I just finished to record a video in my computer (my first ever) not to go on youtube but just to let out all my feelings and this panic. It was a 24 minuts video and let me tell you I feel a lot better. I just recal all my past diets, all the risks I put my self in to with every sort of pills and crazy programs and non of them worked on long term. So looking at the facts watching the video again with me on it and this things going out from my mouth was very helpfull.. At least for the next cuple of ours. But I can do tons of videos, can't I? Lol

. Hello, today is my 3th day post op, thanks to God every thing went very well. The clinic was completely full of pations for vsg, My doctor was Dr. verboonen but in my surgery Dr. Perez was also present and he release me from hospital today. I also was very very scared and the recovery depends on each body. A person on other room did not even need help to take her first bath and I did. Walking is very important and for me was no working that much because I did not take off alot of gas but others did. So I think it depends on your body. The nurses came very very often to aply medicin and check all your vitals. The pain... Well I think is more like a very strong discomfort than a pain. I use to feell more pain on my mestruation than the pain on these 3 days. But the discomfort is strong. My surgery was last of the day last friday 27 sept. and at 11 am of sunday I was on the way to a restaurant so my husband can have Breakfast. I feel strage and a litle pain when I drink, litle pain in my upper back but I think is my body getting use to my new digestive system. If you come to Cancun I don't think you will regret it. The atentios was great, the hospital Victoria is small but just what you need. If you come whit some one else ask for a room with the sofa on the room so he or she can spend the night.. Good luck and just pray alot to be calm on that day.

Hello taniche, i live in Cancun and I am looking for the best surgeon also. I have request a price to Dr. Verboonen and all the information was given very fast by his Coordinator Sheri until I request for some of his stadistics. But the coordinator actually fix me a meeting with him on september 13th to ask all my questions. The price for was 5500 usd includind all but when i said I was Mexican and in fact I live in Cancun the coordinator said that the price for Mexicas is higher that for foreings you can imagine that Realy made me angry, any way she said that she will honor the price of foreing pacients. But when I ask for the hotel acomodatios she gave me a little hotel in down town but I have the feelling that she is giviming me that hotel because I am a Mexican and that in fact Is not probable that I will use it since I live here (that is something that make unconfortable with the company patients facilitator and not with the Dr. I have to say) Today I have request price and conditios to Ready 4 a change which I think work with Dr. Perez which is also a very good option for me because I think he lives here in Cancun or Playa del Carmen so in case of anything post op most to be seen by my surgeon he is just a few minuts from home (Dr. Verboonen only comes 2 time per month to Cancun, I believe his permanent residence is in Tijuana).. I have my options very open so even living in Cancun I have consider going to the most recomendet doctor in Monterrey or Tijuana so It will all depends on my appointment with this 2 doctors and their answers to my questions. I will let you know.
