Has anyone skipped the puréed stage and went from full liquids to soft solids?

Pre-op by far. My old stomach was not feeling it at all. Post-op I haven't been hungry my challenge is finding a liquid protein source I like. The shakes I used before surgery are now disgusting to me.

Hey. I'm six days out too. I has my follow up Appt this afternoon. I'm down 5 pounds. What's your food intake?

Whoo hoo! I'm glad everyone came out ok.

I didn't feel anything when I was under. They anesthesiologist said, " you're going to feel a sting." And that was all she wrote. I woke up in recovery in A LOT of pain!! And I couldn't fully open my eyes (picture a newborn slowly blinking). I was also very nauseous and kept saying "I wanna throw up. Just let me throw up. Why can't I throw up?" All of this seemed to last maybe 45 minutes but turns out I was in recovery for 3 hours! They had a hard time getting me to calm down and controlling my nausea and pain. Keep in mind before this surgery I had never been admitted into the hospital, never even had an IV. And I thought I had a high tolerance for pain…apparently not.

This liquid diet is absolutely for the birds. Day 7 of 10, you sir can KISS MY GRITS!! Wait a minute I don't have any grits…

Welp I got through the liquid diet sans sandwich. And I have a 14 pound weight loss to show for it. Surgery went well but I was in no way prepared for the pain afterwards. Whoa baby did it hurt! Thank God it quickly subsided I'm 3 dats post-op now I only took my pain meds once on the night I came home. I'm just really really tired and can't wait to get back to feeling normal. Thanks for your support!

Hey all. Overall I'm still really, really tired. I don't have any pain unless I move the wrong way. I was telling a friend that everything just feels so new. I can feel every lil sip go down and it's weird. Now I finally know what people mean when they say they no longer like Water. It's like I can taste every mineral in it…yuck! Today I was able to get in a Protein shake! However, I'm quickly growing weary of the whole sugar free taste of everything 100% apple juice is my BFF right now. Other than that I'm bored and can't wait to feel normal again. How's everyone else?

Hello Sleeve Siblings, There are several threads for everyone getting sleeved in the month of Oct 2013. I post in those as well but I wanted a consolidated thread for those of us who are getting sleeved on October 16th. I'm super excited about having the sleeve surgery!! My ten day liquid diet begins next Sunday. I can have six Protein shakes, clear broth, and all of the Water I want . I think that this is going to be the hardest part for me. I'm dreading that I'll feel like I'm starving all day for ten days. Hopefully ketosis kicks in day one for me, though it'll probably day three a girl can hope right. Do you have a pre-op diet? When does it start? What does it consist of? Fears? Anxiety? Feel free to share whatever you'd like.
