October Sleevers - Who else
Sleeve Siren replied to clefofcividale's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ugh I'm day three of my liquid diet. The first two days I was totally fine but this morning I want to eat!!! -
What pre op diet are you on or going to start?
Sleeve Siren replied to deitress1's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My 10 day pre-op diet started yesterday. I can have up to six Protein shakes, sugar free Jello, sugar free Popsicles, broth, and Water. My surgery is next week Wednesday the 16th. So far I actually haven't been hungry, thank God. I thought I was going to feel starved. However, I haven't actually been around food so that could change. -
Agreed!! I know I'll drive myself crazy if I buy I scale. So I'm going to let the mirror be my "scale".

Ain't it awesome?!?! That's one of those feelings you never forget. Congrats!!

My final appointment with the surgeon where I sign my life away is this afternoon. All of a sudden I'm a nervous wreck! It came outta nowhere. Maybe it's because I have to choose someone to make decisions for me if I'm unable to. I think it might be because it's about to really become official, like "no turning back, you're getting on that table in two weeks" official. I was expecting to feel this way two days before surgery not two weeks before. Anyone else feel this way?

Thanks guys. Best of luck to you all as well.

ARE YOU GETTING SLEEVED ON OCTOBER 16, 2013?
Sleeve Siren replied to Sleeve Siren's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah I'm not having a food funeral or last supper but I am making the most of every meal ie everything has to be delicious I'm not settling for Cereal or Peanut Butter and jelly this week. I'm trying to eat one of my favorite foods at every meal but not over indulge. I keep telling myself, "you've eaten this for thirty years you know what it tastes like, you'll have it again next year but you'll look and feel oh so fabulous while doing so ????." -

I've got a protein sample station on my kitchen counter. I'm trying to find one I really like. I'll have to try and locate the Muscle Tech you love. And your recipe does sound delish. Congrats to you. I hope all goes well tomorrow!! -

Dealing with "not fat" friends
Sleeve Siren replied to avanti's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good choice! I was going to say that it sounds like she's insecure, unhappy with herself, and needs to feel superior to someone. Your weight loss is a threat to all three of those things and she's scrambling to maintain her warped sense of herself. I would've told her point blank. "As my friend I expect you to be supportive of positive decisions I make for my life. Your behavior has not helped at all and is in fact hurtful. I love to share my journey with you but your behavior has to change. I need to focus on the changes I'm making and won't allow any distractions including friends with "good intentions" that still make me feel bad about doing something good for myself." Now if she wasn't receptive to that then I'd chuck the duces to her. -

I'm a about a month away from surgery and planning out meals (if you can call liquids a meal ). I'm thinking I should probably upgrade my GE personal blender. Does anyone own the Ninja or the Nutra Bullet? I'm leaning towards the Ninja but I'd like to hear from folks who already use them. Thanks in advance!

That's adorable.
