    Daily Blog?

I once had a Bento I used for lunches. I used to be inspired by a blogger who would use the same bento and take a picture of their lunch each day. She had so many wonderful ideas. Has any fellow slivers done something like that ... document their meals day to day in a blog? That would be so inspirational for newbies like me.
  2. I have skin tags everywhere my skin rubs together. As this weight comes off, I'd like to get these removed. Is this something you can do yourself, or is it a procedure?

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

Started at 446. Was 419 at my surgery Nov 6th. 390 today. My surgeon recommended the sleeve. Been walking around the neighborhood some lately. It's tough, but worth the effort.

Nov 2013 Sleevers Progress So Far...

Sleeved 11/6, one night at the hospital. The pain was about what I expected. I felt rough the first few days, but fine after that first week. I sip Water (with Crystal Lite) all day and stay well hydrated. It's tedious, but reality with this procedure. I guess I better get used to it. I just can't eat much at all and I'm never hungry (feels so weird). But, by eating really slow, I'm able to get near 60g Protein a day. I'm told it'll get easier to get food in down the road.

    Is Starbucks Bad And Evil?

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on my Starbucks dilemna. Lots of excellent options here for those occasional visits. it helps me to plan ahead. I know it won't take long before I'm asked to join someone at Starbucks. It feels good to know there are options. Like many of you, I had to quit caffeine prior to surgery. That was less than fun, but I'm amazed how much better I feel. I'd like to stay off. I'm thinking a decaf tea with skim milk and Splenda might just do the trick.
  6. My surgeon cleared me for normal food and things are going pretty well. I'm just curious what your take is on Starbucks. I can live without it, but the reality is it's the destination of choice for many of my friends and colleagues. Do you stay clear of Starbucks, or is there a drink or two that are ok now and then? Thoughts? Larry

    What Damage Have I Done?

I'm 11 days out myself and feel your pain when it comes to the Protein drink. I tolerated, even enjoyed, the unjury protein powders during my three weeks preop diet. Today, the smell of these products makes me nauseated. I can't explain it. I'm doing milk only until I sit down with my nutritionist this week. Like you, I ordered the Unjury non flavored and am really hoping that does the trick I can't imagine you've done damage. Just know you're not alone. This is touch stretch right now, and it is no doubt a period of trying to figure out how we're going to get that protein onboard.
  8. Oh wow, had no idea this board was so active. Many thanks to all of your for so many options. Please tell me more about the unflavored unjury? I saw that they offered it. That seems like a real solution for people like me that can't get past the saccharine taste of these Protein drinks any longer. Can I just mix it in with my blended soups, FF pudding, and the like? Does it have any residual flavor? Thanks a million ...

    Just Sleeved

Excellent! I was sleeved on 11/8 and feel pretty good myself. Tell me, how are you getting your 60g of Protein? I'm barely choking down my Protein Drink and wonder if there's an alternative?
  10. I'm new here ... hi! :-) Had my vertical sleeve on 11/8. I'm supposed to be getting my 40-60g of Protein via my Protein powder. I'm using powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury vanilla, chocolate and chicken. After three weeks protein liquid prior and another one after surgery I've hit a wall. Honestly, I can't choke down another sip of that stuff. I'd be very interested to learn what you guys do for protein at this stage? Thank you. Larry
