ReadyinCT and 4Emma&Erick....I too am having difficulty sticking to the pre-op diet! I dont even have to do full liquids and I can't seem to make it longer than a day. My surgery is the 24th also and so far I completely suck..If I dont start this like asap I might very well not get banded the day I go in due to a fatty liver. I need someone to kick my butt in gear...I hate the idea that I've come this far and I haven't been able to make it a priority the past 2 days which is when I was supposed to start the pre-op. UGH...

Scuba...Hours away from surgery? woohoo..good luck, I know I'll be stressing when I get that close too I know this sounds cliche..but try picturing all the doctors, nurses, and techs naked as they are prepping you, before they put you under..maybe it'll take the edge off and make you smile :sad: I don't do too much posting..but I do read a lot of the threads on here...and everyone is very helpful and supportive, usually. This is the first thread that I read that made me feel bad for the person who asked the question. Scuba, thank you for having the guts to ask what you did. When it comes to having a bariatric procedure, none of us should think that there's a stupid question or thought..we're all in this together. I dont think any of us take time out of our day to log in here to get ridiculed or judged by someone, that's not what this is about. If you don't have a positive or supportive bit of information or input, then why reply to a post...there's no contest out there for the person with the most posts.

I just found out today that my date is September 24th! So the two week preop diet starts umm...NOW. hehe fine with me, having a date is going to stop the last supper syndrome I was in. Good luck all!

I got approval from BCBS in July. I got fired Aug 18th and my insurance terminates at the end of Aug. I will definitely do Cobra if the approval is going to carry over. Does anyone know if an insurance approval will carry over into Cobra? Thanks for any info, Jamie
