Hey there. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks and down 14 lbs. Tolerating food well so far, no nausea or vomiting. Trying to get protein and fluids in. Still occasional incision pain on either side but taking it day by day!

I’m 6days postop of of gastric sleeve revision to bypass. Tolerating fluids and protein shakes. Since yesterday I have had this weird sharp pain on lower left abdomen. It’s morr pronounced when standing and especially walking. Anyone else having pain? My postop is Tuesday

So I have no nausea with water, crystal light, broth, or protein shakes and I can’t pinpoint that it’s related to the drinking. I just notice it more when standing and walking. I definitely will tell my doc and will take oxycodone to deal with it until then

I’m actually a nurse but no offense was taken. I just don’t want to keep taking it for my bowels and so I can drive. It does make me tired but I take it so it takes the edge off and to get a good nights sleep

Thanks for the info Missouri-Lee. I was thinking that it had to do with my drinking of fluids but it’s kinda always there even if I am not drinking. I even stopped for a little to see if it resolves and it didnt. Definitely will be asking doc about it. Trying to avoid using the oxycodone

I feel good no nausea either. I have some occasional sharp pain on my left side but tolerable. I’m trying not to use the oxycodone and just take Tylenol. I can’t wait to “eat” something. So hard with everyone around eating actual food

Hey we had surgery same day! I was a sleeve revision to bypass. Hope you are feeling well!

I just keep water with me and keep in sipping. I also enjoy sugar free popsicles which are 1.5oz each. I guess it’s hard cuz the rest of my family is eating food and it smells good. Keeping strong but can’t wait for pudding or cottage cheese etc

Hi I’m new to this thread. I had a sleeve revision to bypass on 6/18 and hate clears. I feel I want substance like stage 2. I’m hungry perhaps because I haven’t been cleared to start protein shakes yet. Anyone else feeling hungry ?

I have a silly question. Does soup count as liquid or food. It's not solid food so its essentially not going To fill me up. I made Portuguese soup and it's basically puréed potatoes with water and collard greens. Nothing really solid -

I'm the same way. I struggle to get all my fluids down. I'm just not thirsty and have no desire for water or crystal light or anything -

Sleeved on 8/26 and lost 12 lbs at 1 wk out. Haven't lost anything since and trying to be patient. Having a hard time getting all my fluids in. Starting to hate water and shakes. Any suggestions on some sleeve approved drinks? -

I think most of us are weighing ourselves too often and expecting the numbers to consistently drop. I say stay off the scale. Maybe weigh in once a week if u must. Our bodies need to heal and get accustomed to our new sleeves. Follow doctors plans/diets and have patience the weight will come off. I have faith that we can do this we just need to stress less about it. Just my 2 cents I advice
