no drinking BEFORE meals?
Chittick24 replied to angry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 3+ years post op. I still wait 30 mins after to drink. But before a meal I try to wait boult it's never timed. This was a hard thing to get use to but it will become habit and I'm a firm believer in doing it will keep you full longer. I also didn't want to do anything that could stretch my new tiny stomach -
Welcome!!!! There is a lot of info on the forum. I started out at 365 and got down to 212 before getting pregnant. I am now back to losing 240. You can do it. Get your mind right... And ask questions

I had this reaction initially with milk. Also acid can be a tricky thing and can act different for everyone. Are you takin an antacid?

Like everyone said... You know what your doing wrong... Stop it and get control over yourself. Not being mean just blunt :-/ , you have a tool that will help you if you let it.... Get in to see a nutritionist ASAP. Maybe they can give good food ideas. Leave the sweets and carbs alone they sound like a trigger for you. -
I'm scared! Am I making the right decision?!?!
Chittick24 replied to LeahJade's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think only you can answer if sleeved life is right for you. Are you tired of gaining weight? Tired of feeling hungry all the time? Tired of people not really seeing u? Tired of always being tired? What do you picture the rest of your life being without this surgery? Those were the questions I asked myself 3+ years ago. Your life does change and food turns into an energy source not something to do of to fill a hole.. But you have to change your mind set. If your going to do it... Jump in whole heartedly!!!!!! -
Yeah I agree it could be a more flattering name

Chittick24 replied to tamarlarae's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Don't forget that life changes with a baby... No more time for yourself or doing what you need to do for you. It will take your focus away. I'm not saying don't get pregnant.. But why did you have surgery? -

Question about ultrasound
Chittick24 replied to julia7665's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do they know your a Bariatric surgery patient? -
Did the doctor ask you if you have ever done anything to lose weight? If so what was your answer? If you answered that you have dieted an given the info... Like over the counter pills, prescribed pills, weight watchers, eating less, metabolic research , etc.. Maybe he disn document it fully. There is a chance you can appeal this with your insurance. I have worked with insurance for 17 years as a medical biller. Let me know if you have any questions
-
Look for another doctor is my vote
-
Thanks :-)

Your not too big . Right before surgery I weighted in at 365 I lost 163 lbs then i found out I was pregnant. 3+ years now and I have started to lose again since I fell off the wagon but it is NOTHING like dieting was before. You have to be aware of carbs and what theIt's more like eating the way you know you need to. If you decide to do it... Make it a life style change and delicate yourself to do nothing but losing the weight for the first 18 months... U can do it
-
Having a doctor and office staff that you trust is beyond important. Not just for the surgery but for all the post op questions. Thank god you cancelled ! can u imagine what would happen if you had complications after surgery? From working in doctors offices and billing co for 17 years the office staff is a reflection of the doctor. If they thought they had authorization and the insurance was giving you bad info they should have done a three way call to clear it up so you could here it.If a doctor lets this type of treatment happen then he is not patient care oriented just financially motivated.
