Having been overweight my entire life- as I approach 60 and plan for an early retirement, I finally got up the nerve to take charge of my life and my weight. I went to an informational/support meeting given by the doctor who will now be doing my surgery. I was excited and felt like I finally had a chance to be the person I've always wanted to be. Yesterday I got my final insurance approval and next Friday I will meet with my surgeon to schedule my life- changing surgery. I am so excited to start the next part of this journey since I just completed my 6 months of requirements for my insurance company. I feel like I'm about to start an exciting new adventure!
