  6. Hi Doddie; I am so happy for you to have finally gotten your Port fixed the way you like it. It is a struggle that you "don't " need... I think I am at a proper level of restriction too 7 cc's but I am still battling with making poor choices... I am eating Peanut M & M's a couple of times per week. otherwise I am good at meals.... I just can't seem to get this chocolate demon out of my head. I am not losing, just holding in the mid 180's.... and I'm 2 1/2 mos. post op (2nd surg)... Give me a two-by-four upside the head!!!

Morning Phyl; Sounds like you had a super success with your food.... I would not have had that much control with chocolate! Good for you!!! What was the name of the little ship restaurant? I am curious because when I lived there I took my Mom there a lot to eat..... if it is the same place. Awesome food! Glad you had such a fun tim ..Candice:thumbup:.

You go girl!!! I am so proud of you... and the photo shoot is too cool... we'll get copies of those photos too huh??? I think your plan to up your cals to 2000 is a sound choice. Your body is so efficiently 'burning' what you eat now that you are running.. Muscle burns more calories than fat tissue. So it makes sense to increase a bit more in order to stabalize and not continue to lose. Do you think you might need a slight un-fill??? Regardless, you must be on top of the world and looking forward to your P.S.

I am sure you'll see lots of whales off of Vancouver Island... what a super gift you have received!!! 30 years ago DH and I lived in Victoria (snif, snif  ) It was beautiful in B.C. and I miss the ocean. I was sorry to hear about your chicken episode, that is NOT fun, especially when you are OUT.

  16. Everyone welcome! Banded or soon-to-be banded... From either clinic SWLC or TLBC or CIBO... we don't care! NOON Memorial Drive, Orillia Pls R.S.V.P. here or P.M. me... so I can make reservations.. Candice

  18. Hello Bandster Friends; I tried to post this on the TLBC message board but had no luck... so here goes. ANYONE banded (or soon to be) that would like to get together for a Lunch/Support get-to-gether ???? Please POST here or PM me for my phone number... I am thinking of all of us folks NORTH of the GTA... Owen Sound, Midland, Barrie, Orillia, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Alliston..... yada,yada.. you get the idea.. Anyways, I have gone to several luncheons in Toronto and met some fabulous folks... but it's one heck of a drive... So I was thinking of meeting mid-way point either Barrie or Orillia.... Come back to me folks. Peaches:tt2:
  19. That is a great turn out!!! If darn gas wasn't such a premium right now, I may even try to drop in on your North Bay lunch bunch sometime.
  20. Sorry Fousilly, that its 4 hrs for you.... let me wait and see who else responds.... ( I myself am 1 hour from Orillia) perhaps something else might work out.. Keep checking this THREAD:thumbup:
  21. O.K. I have had PRIVATE MESSAGES from two people in Orillia, So if there is anyone else out there???? From CENTRAL/Northern Ontario who'd like to get together for Social/Support lunch at Kelseys Rest. 405 Memorial Ave Orillia, Ontario L3V 5Y1 Sat Jun 7th NOON!!!! post your RSVP here or P.M. me details so I can make a reservation Candice
  22. I am so sorry to hear of your delema... I know how frustrating it is NOT to have restriction. I got my band July 11th/07 and up until Mid Nov I was getting more and more restriction/fills... and then all of a sudden it wouldn't hold a restriction for more than a day or two then.... I could eat as much as I wanted... no pb'ing... I just KNEW there was a leak, but no one would listen to me until I'd gone in for 12 fills!!!! Then I demanded to see Dr. Yau at Grace for a Fluro... then I had to have 3 fluro's before HE beleived I indeed had a leek. So it took until Mar 28th to get my Port/tubing replaced... He came out of the operating room spoke to my husband and said " I found two holes in the tubing".... nurse must have poked into the wrong spot doing a fill in the office... Pissed off to say the least, and all those months wasted with no weight loss.

I know what you mean about the sunscreen, am very fair and I break out in itchy bumps if I go into the sun without a Blocker on... and I just LOVE the sun... I think it may be cause I am on Zoloft, I think I read somewhere that it causes sun sensitivity... anyone comment??

    New here and grateful!

Hey Anita; Great news on your decision to stay in Canada. With the Band its really more about aftercare than the actual surgery..IMHO Good luck
