Oh Janet; You are too funny... Smoking in the BUG NET!! O.k. girl you wanna climb a mountain you need to dump those smokes over the first cliff you come to!! Seriously, the bugs were especially bad this year as we have had record amount of rainfall ( Global warming screwed our seasons up, I think) anyways, I am just a real suck when it comes to bug bites... it will ruin my whole day if I keep getting pestered by them... hence I wore the bug suit so I could "REALLY" enjoy my climb. Honestly, it was such hard work that a bear could have taken a hunk out of me and I dont' think I would have noticed!! You'll notice in the pictures I sent that my DH and Dear BIL were NOT wearing bug suits - just my sister and I ( the whinners) My husband is still calling me "Princess"...

I had band complications too. My Fill nurse punctured the band tubing just as it led to the port. This resulted in leakage of saline fromt he band and no restriction. I had it re-operated on in Mar. Dr. fixed the tubing and port and now everything is fine. You'll be fine too... same surg as before same recovery time. Only I didn't have to wait for weeks to have fills... he put 5cc's into my band at the time of the second surg. So now I am tight again...yeah

Karri; Congrats on the photo - you look amazing - and not just because you are tinier... your SMILE is a dead give-a-way!!! You look deliriously HAPPY! Good on ya! I am a tad concerned though (second band mommy chimming in here) about the 2 lbs and up and down... why are you torturing yourself while you are still in surgical recovery time??? Stay off the darn scale, its driving you nutty. JMHO  Steph, good for you making it to your support group and getting another fill. and teh Weight loss was great too! It was betteer than you expected eh??? Phyl; I started out on the POUCH TEST day #1 today... Had 2 shakes, then mid aft. I was starving... and I acquiesed to some MEAT... but tonight I am back on Creamed pea soup!!!! I will be back on tomorrow for sure... I think because of the extra wine/food while at teh camp I was extra hungry today.... but still I came in below 1200 cals. today... So that is an accomplishment for me!!! 7 more sleeps until I leave for the Mall of America trip - Yippee!!

Good morning Gals; I have missed you all, but I've tried to catch up on at least on the last several pages ofposts. Karri; I am so releived that you are feeling a bit better... whew! You had me worried hun. Go slow getting back at the exercise o.k. ? everything in moderation. Your pictures look fantastic by the way, the scars are good. Do you have to wear a compression garment? And if so for how long? What are you putting on your scars to help with the pain? Phyl, that 5 day pouch test sounds like something that I could do when i get home from the cottage. Been just toomuch darn wine up here:crying: Wink, wink, ya know what I mean  Janet; I know you are the food cop but there are gazillions of wild blueberries just coming into season here... so thismorning I made buttermilk blueberry pancakes with sugar free syrop in my cabin and invitedmy Sister and BIL (the killer guide) over for breaky.... OMG they were so good. Surprisingly I didn't get stuck???? I ate 3 small pancakes and 2 strips ofWELL cooked bacon. Last night for supper i had 1/2 chicken breast, 2 slices cucumber, 1 tblsp potato salad and got stuck!!! so I uped the chicken and started over with tinier bits.... but i didn't getmuch in at all.... Yest. at lunch I had 1/2 of a cheddar cheese sandwich, granola bar; Breakfast was cheerios/skim milk. PLUS< PLUS wine!!! I have to cutit with apple juice as wine isjust too strong tastingnow since being banded.... isn't that weirrd? Ruby: I think you and I eat the same DEVIL foods.... we are TRULY band sista's :tt1: Didn't see a post from Linda or Kari? Hope everyone is o.k. Kathybad: Nice that you are making good use of your bonus time!!! Walking the dogs COUNTS.... plus they will make you feel guilty if you forget to walk them.... its alwaysmore motivation for me!!! :tt1: Speaking of dogs, mine are completely WORN OUT... they run 22 hours a day... chasing chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits etc. oh yeah, now TWIG is trying to catch Deer Flies!!!! Good occupation up here.... OMG these bugs are eating me alive!!! I have a half swollen face from deer fly bites on my cheek and face... I look like the Phantom of the Opera in a tight tank-kini!!!! Love you guys and miss you!! We'll see you in a couple of weeks :tt2: just Peachy

A couple of years ago I had to have 8 of my back teeth removed. 2 upper left, 2 upper right, 2 lower left, 2 lower right. As a result of that, I've done all of my chewing on my front teeth. This has put pressure on them and forced them to do a job they're not meant for. Not to mention that for the past year I've had to chew, chew, chew to a pulp it's increased the workload considerably. Last night my front crown buckled under the pressure yet again. It's the second time in as many months and my dentist said I NEED to get some teeth in back or the problem will never go away. I called an oral surgeon to ask about dental implants; where the put a post in your gum/bone and add a crown to it. Well I need 4 of them. And the cost per tooth starts at $1,940. My insurance doesn't cover it. I really can't afford almost $8,000 right now. And even if I could, I'd be spending it on a TT, not teeth. :seeya: Partial dentures are going to set me back around $1,500 for both upper and lower. My hubby wants me to get the implants. I really can't justify spending that much on myself again. Not with the cost of lap band and my boob job last year. I don't even want to spend on dentures, but it's more of a necessity for the sake of my remaining teeth that I am. So that's my fun plans for the day. I'll be thinking of you all while I'm drooling and spitting in the dentist's chair. :tt2: Oh I hear you , I dislike Dentists too :frown: a necessary evil. But my 2 cents? GET THE IMPLANTS :biggrin:you  are worth the investment.. you've already gotten the band (I paid $16k out of my own pocket) and you NEED those molars to chew on for the rest of your life... Dentures NEVER fit as well or work as well as real teeth.... I am treating a lady today in such pain because of ill fitting dentures. She is in her 80's and in so much pain, its sad to see... and preventable. *** ok I'm climbing down off my soap box now**** :tt2: Candice

Just a quick post for me tonight. Its been a hectic day. 1141 cals today, 1093 yesterday... no exercise. Tomorrow, shakes again... Tonight I PB'd on my shake!!!! WTF??? I guess its because I took my DH to the hospital this a.m. for a Cat scan of his head. ( His MOM died of a brain anerism at 66, so they are being cautios and making sure my Hubby didn't inherit it too) Then I had to go get my Mother for her appt. at her Cardiologist.... Anyways, it went down the sink and I've just made another but THINNER and I am drinking more slowly... But I am not complaining I LIKE BEING TIGHT
