O.k. its Saturday!!! I finally got off my but and got some exercise in. Yesterday, Bowling for Big Bros and Big Sisters, so that kids can go to camp this summer... My hubby and I raised $150 it was fun.. the whole Clinic staff participated..Then we had a Pot luck at my boss's house afterwards. Today, I went for a power walk with DH and Doggies... oh my gosh it IS starting to warm up here... all the snow mounds are melting.. Its muddy and wet but at least its disappearing.. YEAH!!! Going to France the last week of June and the first wk of July... really looking forward to it too. Gotta get this blubber off before then!~:laugh: Stephanie; I hope you are taking good care of yourself, gastro-flu is yucky at the best of times... but with a band? I don't know if I could survive that. Keep up with the liquids if you can, take a Gravol Supository too that might help you keep liquids down so you don't get dehydrated. Phyl; is your cold finally gone? I hope it didn't settle in your chest.. This has b een a bad winter for bugs, I've had 4 cold sores on my mouth this winter... Its my Hubby that's retiring from the Cdn. Navy... I'll still be working 4 days per week... No, we are not concerned... we have enough stashed away to be comfortable... not rich by any means, but we live modestly and keep a little aside for traveling... Plus that's what I save my Work $$$'s for... traveling and having FUN!!! Life is too short to save everything for a rainy day... plus I want to be able to travel and enjoy things while our health is good and we are young (at heart) enough. I am NOT leaving money to relatives, that's for sure... I hope that dosn't sound selfish, but that's the way I feel.

Oh these are georgeous, thanks for sharing the pictures. I am a quilter too, but I think yours are a little more advanced than the ones I have done... I'll post a couple of mine here too for others to see.

Don't worry, its nothing that you have done... It is not anchored within your abdomen so it sometimes shifts a bit. Most good fill nurses can still fill a flipped port.... as long at its not completely UPside Down.

The Red Wing Quilt was started end of November 08 and I finished it Sunday night (Mar 09)... that was a pretty easy one, not much quilting on it that was difficult... I just hope GrtNephew likes it!!!:cursing: Had Squash and Baked Beans for supper tonight... it got stuck, so I had to get rid of it and start over with smaller bites... Argh, when will I learn. Hi Kari; I did not find Red Wing fabric... I found a FLAG at a sporting goods store in Erie Pennsylvania last Nov. That's what I started the quilt from.... added a piano key border and then sandwiched it and quilted by hand... I dont' know where you'd find fabric...??? sorry!!!

YES, I did resist the GD Donuts!!!! We sent them all home with one of the Chiropractors (he's young and slim) so hopefully there won't be any more there today! Final cal count yest. was 1050... not too shabby at all - I am happy!! CBL

LAPBAND originating in Lyon France... too funny... as I have a "FRENCH MID BAND"... that's what my surgeon uses in all his patients. So I am taking my BAND home to visit!! :eek: It's going to be a great trip! My Hubby is retiring from the Navy and this trip is to celebrate that occasion.
