Hi Gang; Yup still here... I decided to get busy (with all this snow) and delve into my UFÒ`s in my Quilt room.... Got c aught up on my Block of the month class stuff.. so now onto completing my Queen size quilt from 2005!!! I know, don`t say it... but I`ttll be one more project in completion.. I think I will send it out to be Long Arm quilted, although I don`t know where I`ll find thw money for that!! It`ll come out of the budget somewhere`s else,, maybe I can disguise it as GROCERIES!!!!! what do you think¨??? I`d put up pictures, but what a freeking hassle that is.

Oh Stephanie, I am allergic to the SUN... I didnt`know that there was a shot you could get so you don`t react... Please find out the name for me!!! PLEASE!! Also, what is the rash cream - if it a prescription - I could probably get that here too if I had the name.. Do you still have the tube laying around?? The other thing I reacted to was all the Bleach and Laundry products that they used on the ship, and in our hotels... SO I got a double whammy effect - that s why it is so bad this time. Even my bottom lip is still swollen... Do you know how to post PICTURES up on LBT... I haven`t had any luck... I`ll show you my ugly legs LOL

Ha,ha,ha.... you are funny, Cause I have been taking OATMEAL baths, every 2nd day since I got home from Europe. And I`ve already gone thru one bottle of calamine lotion.. But honestly, the Rx cortixzone lotion works better... Its expensive, but hell that`s why I have extra Medical insurance... it pays 80% of the Rx....`s the rest I claim on my Income Tax. YUK, that will be coming up soon enough. April is when we file. I de-junked Peter`s office yesterday. I shredded old paperwork, files, etc.. I have filled 3 green garbage bags!!!! But it felt so GOOD... I love shredding... my other favorite `dream`` job would have been a Recking Ball Machine Operator... God, I`d love to do that for a day!!!

Good afternoon ladies; I am doing fine... om the band wagon Just didn`t post yesterday, because it was a Doctor visit day and I was feeling Shiity about my Allergy stuff... got me down... but she gave me more meds to take for it. Something stronger than Benadryl.... these little green pills... I had a horrible headache, and just vegged all day and night... Feeling like myself today, (yeah!) and itch is down to a manageable level.. but you should see my thighs! I looked like I`ve been raped with all the bruising on the inner thighs... and the skin is ultra dry and damaged looking... oh, well It will heal eventually... hey I dont`wear shorts much anyways !!!!

Morning Peeps! Made some new muffins yesterday... don`t know if I totally like them yet... but they are healthy, Oatbran, Flaxmeal, whole wheat, Carrots, apples shredded... Peter turned his nose up at them.. so I guess they are going in the freezer.. Made with Splenda, and pureed prunes for sweetness. Amazing how when you take SUGAR and FAT out of the equation... things arent as appealing - and that s a GOOD THING! Oh I feel like making Karla`s Chicken Salad today!!! just cn`t find the recipe, but I`ll keep on hunting. Karri, I am happy that you are getting treatment for the depression, no one deserves to feel that bad.. I don`t have any sage advice, exept that you are doing what you need to do to get better. I am permanently on Meds for my Bipolar... thats just the way it is... By body dosn`t work well without them. So nice that Lee is such a great support for you... Stephanie; Cold and snowy there? Any poker runs planned? Karla; Your daughters house sounds really nice... Phyl, I supppose you are settling back into your routine today after your exciting travels... That is good news that your sister is flyng home to look after your Mom.... Gosh our parents health is so precarious in their later years... I know its impossible to not worry, but she is being cared for by family...Its o.k. to let someone else share the load... I know what you mean about the recovery process... your brain thinks you can to allthings, then whammy you start to feel tired agina.. just listen toyour body, you've been through 2 major surgerys in the last 2 months. and I know that you are not a 'sitter'... you are a 'dooer''.. so that makes it challenging. Home now from Peter's gig.. It was a fun night out. I took my good friend Darlen with me.. she is widowed so she likes any opportunity to get our and socialize... Also, she is not too embarrassed to get up and dance with me... It was so cold in this bar tonight, that you had to dance to stay warm!!!! - 20 degrees again... sheesh, these crazy fluctuations in temp. are goofy. My HIVES are back, man o man... to bed tonight with an ice pack on my thighs again.... we'll see what its like in the morning, may have to break down and go to a Walk-in-clinic tomorrow for some more prednisone.... Peter is happy as a clam with his Ereader by Sony... has 500 books downloaded onto it now!! We got them from a Torrent download site free... and I dont' have to look at his STACK Of novels anymore, or try and dust around them Well gonnasign off now and hit the bed... sleep tight everyone!

Phyl, your bday party escapades had me laughing my ass off... but the best part is that you had a BLAST anyways.. and I think made pretty good food choices bearing in mind that is WAS a celebration. When I eat out in a rest I always take home at least 1/2 the meal.. or I just order an appetizer for supper. Dancing and Music tonight - such fun!!! Good morning everyone. Loved the article by Kaye Bailey.. good reading for sure.. we all need a re-check now and then. Cold, cold, cold here this morning.. and my HIVES are back. Oh my gosh, I am allergic to so many things.. and there must be something else I am missing... cause my hives were all settled down last week (after prednisone for 4 days) But 2 days ago I started adding GREENS+ to my Protein shake, and whammy!! So back on the benedryl 2 tabs, every 6 hours. I don`t want to ask the doc for prednisone again! It is such a nasty drug. Has anyone heard about alkaline vs. acidic foods diet..?? not for weightloss per say, but for better health.??

Well I took myself out on a date tonight. I drove to our next over town and saw the Movie The Kings Speech. It was really, really good.. Colin Firth did an amazing job. The theatre was packed, not a free seat even in the front rows. When have you last been to a movie where people CLAPPED at the end? Weird eh? I came outside to find 2 more inches of FRESH snow on my car... when will it end??? All you northern gals know what I am talking about this winter has been brutal, just about everywhere... Yes the news in Eqypt is scary, I am so glad that I got to see it earlier this month before all the rioting started!!! Yikes!!!

Wow, I have been considering my reply post all evening... and if its something that is stuck in my craw, well its better just to let it out.. So here goes, I am only an expert in one feild - ME. I am only speaking for myself here. But honestly, Karri, when you stopped posting on OUR thread months back.. I was hurt. Disappointed too, but hurt mostly. I thought we had a connection. I had thought that we had further strengthened our connection in July. We had some pretty good talks then. I thought that you KNEW I cared about you and your feelings. If you perseaved that you were being JUDGED or Tough Loved.. I can't do much about that except to say.. All of my comments to you over the years have been from a position of Respect and Love. I always considered it like family here, only better. Cause we all chose one another. Don't get to that priviledge with family. When you feel that you have been misunderstood, just say it and lets clear the air and move on... Not take all our Snakes N'Ladders and leave. Family sticks it out.. thru thick and thin. Hi GIrls, good day today... went to the bank and had disc ussion with our Financial planner... all is well... Markets are starting to come back... patience, patience... I talked to my GF with the Breast Cancer today.. MY Gosh, she is one brave lady... she is keeping positive and is TALKING about ways to Quit Smoking.... I am so happy to hear that!!!! I don`t want to be a nag about it, but I am glad that she was asking me about quitting methods. I think I am going to `take my self out`` to the movies tonight, I wanna go see THE KINGS SPEECH... its up for a lot of oscars, and I love ANYTHING Royal... so I am there... I`ll let you know if its good or not... A bit broken out in my rash again today.... grrrr! I was being so HEALTHY yesterday, that I included some GREENS + in my blueberry, mango, whey shake.... and dumby that I am... forget to check ALLingredients... - Kelp - Bee Pollen dah!!! I am allergic to IODINE (its in the Kelp) and I am allergic to BEE STINGS.... so I guess thats close enough to BEE Pollen to react... gosh, i wish I had someone elses SKIN!!! and Immune system

Well that sounds like `back on track` to me!!! Good stuff.... just take it a MEAL at a time... no guilt, no shame... just do it one bit at a time. You can regain your control, you did it before... you`ll do it again.. Thats why friends are so important... when `WE`loose perspective someone else can see things clearly... THANK GOD FOR THAT

me too. I am 3 1é2 years out from banding.... Protein, FIRST, then Veggies, then if I still have room.... starches (Complex carbs) No Sugar!!! It is poison!!! I track myself on Sparkpeople.com (free site) and I always make sure I have 60 grams of Protein each day minimum... also I stick to 100-1200 cals per day over all. Hope that helps

ha,ha,ha.... I need to explain.... My SISTER UGLY is my sister Krystal... she is my angel... we just have this silly name for one another!!! She is Sister Ugly 1 and I am Sister Ugly 2.... we started this years ago when my MOM first got sick... god, gotta be 8 yrs ago now... anyways... my Bro. was giving us real grief about ``kicking Mom out of her home, how Dare we!!!``` etc.... you get the picture... so he didnt`talk to us forever.... and so we started refering to ea. other as SISTER UGLY... as that was probably what HE called us secretly.. get it???? any ways, it just stuck.. actually, between the 2 of us, its a term of endearment!!! I know we are just crazy Canadian girls... what can I say? oh, and how was my spelling today???

Today update: Peter, Mark and I had our GIG at the Senior`s Residance in Barrie today... It went really well... they loved it.. and there were people up dancing, and many tapping their toes or singing along... It was such a hoot! Afterward, went to visit my MOM and she was doing pretty well, still very winded and not walking herself to meals yet...but one day at a time. My SIster Ugly just called (sorry Janet I was on the phone with her to Mexico) and she is doing fine... going for a bladder op. later this week while she is down there.... nothing serious... just lub, oil and filter (wink, wink) No word from my Dear Bro today.... he was supposidly to get his walking papers today!!! Gosh I hope not,.... 61 and out of work, not good and what he`ll do for Health Ins. is up in the air... Does anyone know , if you are laid off... does your coverage stop immediatley,,, or do yyou have 30 days??

Karla, ya I do need to go get my utt intot he Quilt room. Just heard from my GF that had her Rt Breast off 3 wks ago, Cancer is in her Lymph nodes too... not good!!! Chemo by I.V. next for her, 21 wks I think, then Radiation... I feel so bad for her! My Brother is losing his job (Pilot) geez, I am just full of good news today huh? WELL, All of you gals who I love so much... Please check your breasts tonight, and circle the date of your calandars for 4 wks from now on too... If you havn't already had a MAMMOGRAM... get one, and do it every year thereafter Steph, sure glad you are fighting this FIGHT... PINK ROCKS!!!
