Karla, that is TOTAL Crap about you having the OLDER style band... that Dr is an idiot. My surgeon uses several different types of bands. He only chooses the right one for you AFTER he is in surgery and determines WHICH one will FIT your anatomy... Some folks get the 14cc band some others get the 10cc band. He did tell the truth when he said it may take 1 or 2 more fills to adj. a 10cc band. but I think that is a good thing, because you can add 1 cc then 2 cc, then 1/5 cc to get you to JUST THE RIGHT SWEET SPOT for you. and everyone's fill level is differnent. Glad your home and you have an alternate fill dr for next time.

LOL IMHO I think you may be a tad tight. That's why the GOOD food is hard to get in... its frustrating so its easy to pick th bad foods, as you KNOW they'll slide around the band and go thru. Chart your food intake, get some exercise and be accountable here... it's o.k. you havn't failed, you just took a detour for a bit... Get back on the Road to Recovery here with the rest of us o.k. Yes, HAPPY MOTHERS Day to all of you as well!!! I havne't gotten a call from my DD yet, but alas the day is not over... but I did not get flowers this year... First of all thank you to Stepanie, I remembered a while back she said she used BEEF JERKY to tide her over when she was "out and about" and haddn't planned a good snack to take along. SO I bought some, and its pretty good!!! It saved my BACON yesterday!! I am keeping a package in my purse from now on. Its convenience food, but not JUNK... I had tickets to COLIN JAMES last night at Rama Casino... OMG was he ever good... Funny story though; my Peter (aka Earl) does not gamble, so when we go to the casino you have to pick up your tickets several hours prior to the show, but you must pick them up THAT day. So pretty much you're gonna hang around and spend money on dinner, or gambling right??? Well, my smart DH brings a Pocket novel with him... sits in the hotel lobby and READS...while I go lose our retirement money!!LOL We each take our ticket and go our separate ways until show time, then meet up at our seats, enjoy the show whatever.. So I won $140 on a crappy quarter machine, but it wasn't quite time for the show, but I went tomy seat early(so I wouldn't give back my winnings) Well the theatre goes dim, lights out, first song.... no Peter!!!! OMG where is he??? Did he catch my flu and is trapped in the crapper? Did he part with a $5 bill and play an machine and win the BIG jackpot???? DId he take this opportunity (after 35yrs) to dump me??? OMG where IS he...o.k. song no. 2... no husband O.k. now i LOVE Colin James, and by song 3 he HAD me in his hot little Guitar hands!!! Sat thru the whole show and never found my husband. O.k. now its the standing ovation, so I leave to look for DH.. I go to the piano bar, the hotel lobby couches, the shopping stores.. No DH.!!! As I walk back to the theatre entrance, he comes strolling out with this BIg grin on his face.. "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU, I WAS WORRIED"... he was in the show the whole time, the usher sat us in differnt sections and differnet rows, we still dont' know who was wrong but it was kinda funny after all. DH kept giving me Sh!t for sitting in the wrong place!!!:sad: Oh yeah, Happy Mothers day:wub:

I just love it when I go to the Grocery store and Find that there is MEAT on Special! I go nuts too! Also, I get to choose my favorites (not leave it up to hubby who always comes home with Pizza boxes!!)) I just love portioning out all my treasures and stocking up the freezer.. I must have that 'horder' gene in my heredity.

Oh Phyl, I feel for you babe. :eek: I know how much your legs bother you... You have got to get that P/S ...there has got to be another one who would take Medicare or Tricare, there just HAS to be... keep looking. But I know if it were MY husband he'd freek at the $10,000 too... You can use the surgery as a Medical deduction on your income taxes right? Maybe that would convince Earl. Get the KNEE surg done now, walking and mobility are the primary issue right?.. Then perhaps you can save the money for PS or have more time to work on Earl. Damn economy, if things hadn't gone in the Sh1tter last Sept. you'd probably been able to take that out of savings.:glare: Perhaps we should think of a fundraiser? WARNING: TMI to follow..... I've been MIA for a few days. I got a bad Stomach/flu bug from a Patient... I was up Thurs night ALL night. Trying to puke but nothing would come up. Band tight.
