I love your new avatar!!! Awesome shots of you and your family! I love seeing everyone's pictures... Dallas/Ft. Worth airport is HUGE, the biggest I've ever seen. When I went to Mexico in Mar I had to walk from one end of the term to the other and then they changed the Gate allocation 3 times!!!! So read the overheads often... Ya, I don't know about this tightness... just seems like I PB on firm protein a lot latele... plus nighttime Acid reflux.. but then again I had eaten a bowl of cereal at 10 p.m. ...dah!! I should stick to liquids in the evenings eh??? Can't wait to see everybody todays food..... CALORIES/CARBS//FAT/PROTEIN1,243/206/21/57 Janet, no I did NOT have a blizzard.... at least not on THAT day.... Today, I had coffee, coffee, Slimfast Pro Shake, 4 blk olives... Casserole for supper, 1 fudgecycle, 10 cherres, 2 rice cakes/ff cream cheese.... The cherries were HARD to eat, almost slimmed on them, but they finally went down...

Janet, What absoluely beautiful pics! What a treasure! Doesn't hurt that the kids are georgous (and you too). Good job on the presentation, Phly. Hope you brought a copy of what you wrote up. I'm sure it was inspiring. Gonna take Cora to a li'l kids water park as soon as she wakes up from her nap. I would never have thought to do that two years ago. She really is the reason I did all of this--so I could hold her and feed her bottles and do stuff with her that I didn't do with my own kids b/c I was too self-conscious. Doesn't hurt that I'm a gma now and gma's don't need to have perfect bodies anymore, but still, I don't need to worry about what ppl think of my fat. One of the things that happened at the demo derby is that two other ladies got into a verbal fight about space. One of the ladies was a big woman, and the other one made a comment about it. When I heard that I went off at her. Why do people think it's OK to attack people because of their size? No one commented on the smoking or drinking, or the other offensive things that were going on--but somehow people think differently about commenting on someone's size. Yes, once upon a time it was 'acceptable' to discriminate agains race, colour, religion... all those are now taboo (and rightly so!) However, it seems that the last front on which we have to fight discrimination is of "Overweight People" and the "Mentally Ill".. Seems things change slowly, and that really pisses me off.. I am SO glad that you stuck up for that lady being victimized... :bored:

I went to TLBC (now Slimband) and I called yest to get a De-fill appt... now I sent a FAX, an EMAIL, and telephoned and left 2 messages... I have YET to hear from them yest or today!!! Wats up wif that???

Oh Karla, I started another quilt this morning... Its a BABY quilt so it shouldn't be too daunting! A couple of pages back you quoted a web site that has FREE quilt patterns... can you put it up again for me, or EMAIL it to me... that way I won't lose it. I still havn't heard from my LAP BAND CLINIC :crying: WTF? are they on holidays or something??? I just got a GODSMACK phone call.... my Doctors Nurse just called me to tell me that my Cholesteral No.s are up! 6.9 I think normal is around 5.... I know its a different scale they use here in Canada, so I can't compare to the U.s. numbers I've read here... Just ONE more reason to be charting my FOOD!!!

Well, I HEARD you ladies, loud and clear.... I'll not touch my port. o.k.?? I called my LB doctor's office to see if I could get in there tomorrow morn. no answer, just a machine!!! argh!!!! So I faxed them and emailed them too!!! Still havne't heard anything. So I am drinking Tea and a Protien Shake today... can't get anything else in. Right after ELVIS weekend I am going to get down to BRASS TACKS... and chart all my food and be good.... I have 3 months to lose some weight for the wedding!!!

Hey does anybody know what type of Needle has to be used for injecting saline (or taking is out) ? I am feeling really tight lately and I think I may be needing to have 1/2 cc removed... I can get a Nurse girlfriend of mine to do it, but where do I get a needle? And can I just go up to any pharmacy and buy one??? Thanks Gang:lol:

My fill nurse Peirced my tubing while trying to do a fill... I had restriction for 2 -3 days... then NOTHING.... this fill happened twice... Then I demanded to have a FLUROFILL under xray and voila, the leak could be seen. Doctor had to re-do my surgery and replaced my port and about an 1" of tubing... then he injected me with BLUE dyed Saline... so now everytime I go for a fill, the nurse will SEE the blue back wash and KNOW that she HIT the Port o.k. Dah, I know anyone can make mistakes but two surgeries is a drag!!! Now, my weight is holding.... but not the fault of the BAND... ITS me!! I am eating slider foods and not counting my calories... gotta get back on track... as I still have 25 lbs to goal. :wink2:

wow where are all the posts today??? Everyone must be having a SUNNY Saturday!!! YEAH Cool here today, 21 degrees celcius.. not exactly our REAL summer weather.... its been a strange year! Hopefully next week the weather will cooperate and we'll have SUN and FUN! Got all the beds made up and hubby was asking me "what kind of meals are you going to prepare for your friends?" So now I have to start menu planning, I know Sat night we are definetly doing a BBQ here... and I think we'll probably be out and about during the days and probably have lunch out somewhere... lots to choose from I was thinking of making CASSOLET, from France... I had it over there and it was delicious... plus its one of those things that you can prepare ahead of time...hummmm

Wow, we've all been talking and yacking for 2 years now... Stop and ponder the life changes that have occured. Today, I went to my PCP for my annual checkup... blood work, physical exam, ekg.... etc... I have gone from 240lbs to 178(as of Dr. Office) and kept it off. No I am not at goal, but to imagine that all that weight is gone for good is awesome... I still have work to do but I do eat a lot less than pre-surgery and that's an awesome feat in and of itself. My doctor was happy with my W/L and she was't even beating me up about not being at goal yet... I had all the blood drawn and test results will be in next week. :scared2:

I am getting ready, putting together beds and such... FUN FUN FUN:smile: Oh and Congrats on your 2yr bandiversary!!! You have done so well.

Oh Janet, I just checked the weather forecast for next week too... it SUCKS!!! I "live" in the town of WASAGA BEACH... Collingwood is 10 minutes away, so our weather is the same....:scared2:

I too had been taking Celebrex for many years prior to Banding. SInce Banding I only take Tordol or Tylenol extra strength... My doc does not want me taking Nsaids as they can cause stomach irritation/erosion... and actually since I've lost 65 lbs my knees and back problems have beenmore manageable.. I try to get reg exercise and just take the Extra Str. Tylenol when I have flare ups. Good luck to you dear!

I imagine that we'll go out for dinner on FRIDAY night, perhaps you'll want to eat in Collingwood near the street dance... Don't worry about what to wear, come casual... Jean Capri's a top and light sweater or jacket... just in case it cools off after supper and we'll be outside. If you have an Elvis Hairpeice and Sideburns and aviator sunglasses feel free to wear them... cause You'll fit right it!! LOL Phyl, are you flying to T.O. or Buffalo? The last time we chatted I think you were going to spend some time in Buffalo with your sister too on this trip... I'm picking up Linda/Mel/Janet at the Toronto International Airport(L.B. Pearson) let me know WHICH Terminal you will be arriving at... as there are 3!!! And I'll be there to meet you. The water temp. at the beach will be nice... I promise!!! Soft -sandy beach, no rocks so it's easy on the feet. Oh, yeah you FLYING Seven's... remember for your carryon luggage there are restrictions ea container of liquid must be less than 3 oz. ie shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, body lotion, bug lotion, suntan lotion etc.... So don't worry, I'll have LOTS of shampoos, etc at my house that you can all use... no need to weigh down your luggage. I also have 2 Hair curling irons, 2 Blow dryers, etc... so if you don't want to you don't have to pack that stuff either!!!! So basically just underwears, SPANKX, bras, swim suit, pants, tops & light jacket, socks, shoes/sandals... At work today, bored... boredom is gettin to be a real problem for me lately!!!! and you know what I do when I am bored!!!!

OMG Yeah, you ARE coming!!! Now remember, Kari you are welcome to come a day early or stay a day longer whatever works out for YOU!! Did Hubby decide if he is coming or not???
