Hi Denise; yes, the hardwood floors are really nice. AND so easy to keep clean. Until I had hard floors I never thought about how much GUNK is down in between those carpet fibres... YUK Allergens, pollen, pet dander + dirt and dead skin cells... well no more... not with hardwood... you just get yourself a SWIFFER and whee.... housework is don! I am all about lazy housekeeping!!! LOL The fishing Grandpa? Uh, I don't know, but could he possibly be THAT excited about a Fish???? Poor wifey! -

I went mother of the bride shopping today... and SUCCESS... I found something really nice... Its not a long MOFTB dress... its a TWO peice outfit... Plain Black jersey top, 3/4 sleeves and kind of Ruched in the abdomen and sleeves... plus the neckline is a two way thingy... 2 little zippers on a diagonal from the neck outward... then you ZIP them down and VOILA an alternate neckline.... really sexy I think.. The skirt is a Pewter skrunky firm material (forget the name of the fabric) it has a tapered black elastic waist (hidden by the top) and it flares out toward the hemline (just above the ankle) The extra cool part is the Skirt has these hidden buttons in the lining that if you do up, skrunches the hem line up like a flouncy curtain (use you imagination) Anyways, it looks awesome on me (hubby thought so too, so I'm not pissed at him anymore) and I have a SHAPE!!! A Bust / a waistline/ a neckline and skinny little ankles at the bottom... WIN WIN WIN I can wear it over agian,, change the top to PURPLE or RED... wear the TOP with BLack slacks whatever... Then I bought a cashmina in Pewter Paisley, just in case I need a wrap.... WHAT A RELEIF to have it bought!!! So now black stockings and black open toe shoes? or should I look for PEWTER Shoes???? -

Ah Karla, don't hate me!! You would not beleive all the swearing that went into them  I am not telepathic and the Store INSTRUCTIONS for each block  SUCK the big one! Last month I had to call the store 3 times for more explicit directions... (maybe I have early alzheimers?) Then this months block, I opened up the fabrics and you were supposed to get 6" X wof piece in order to cut 1-2.5" X 21" piece, 8 - 1 3/4 " X 8".... well guess what was in the pack.??? A FOUR INCH WIDE WOF cut.... no way THAT was gonna work... Kari, it sounds like you had a fabulous day at the church picnic... the food sounds divine, and you DID do well to stay away from most of it. Good Work!!! Pit roasted Pig, oh my Gosh that sounds so wonderful... Here's my food for SUNDAY CALORIES/CARBS/FAT/PROTEIN973/127/16/70 oops, forgot, add 1 glass of red wine...109 cals. -

o.k. that's it for now... LIke I said, I am playing catchup... The block of the Month would give you a quilt of 12 blocks. Ah, but that wasn't good enough for me!!! I wanted to make a QUEEN size quilt... therefore I have to make 3 and sometimes 4 copies of the same block...in order to come up to 20 blocks in total... it cost me $158 extra for the completer fabric, but the Quilt club only cost $10 (for the 12) that's provided you show up ea month with the previous months block completed and stay for a Sales pitch 30 mins. where she shows you 'new' stuff to the store... and if you buy any of it that day you get an instant 20% off... I get sucked in every month.... always something peeks my interest or some just YUMMY fabric.. But Karla, I LOVE that fat q. site you put me on to... I've bought a Fat Quarter Quilt Pattern book, so as soon as I get this project under control I plan on starting something els.e. ....can you say ADDICTED???? well, it beats shoving food in my mouth perpetually.!! Hee,hee,hee:tongue_smilie: Gotta run and make supper or HUBBY willl not be too happy with me.... I've been burrowed in the quilt room all day!!! -

Oh Phyl, I am liking fall better than our summer it just arrived her way to late... You are doing so well with your recovery, it makes me feel comfortable that if I ever need new knees that it will be a manageable endevour... I have arthritis in both knees, the Rt a little worse than the left... but so far I've been able to live without my CELEBREX which I gave up prior to banding. HOw did church go today? I'll bet everyone was very glad to see you recovering so well...:tongue2: I've been trying to get caught up on my quilting projects... I finished 4 blocks yesterday, A 'barchello' and the other was called 'Race Track'... its kinda cute.. but I am still behind ELEVEN blocks... this has to be caught up by the second Thurs in Oct... SO I am just going to keep plugging along at it...in the basement. Upstairs, during TV time I'll finish the twin size quilt for my Babyin Switzerland... its gotta go in the mail in 2 weeks to get there in time for the birth. -

Hi guys, Happy Saturday!!! Yesterday was DH 59th B-day!!!! So food early in the day was great... 2 Protien shakes, Supper was Chicken Wings (5) 3 pcs of calamari, then we stopped at McD and I had a McFlurry... but that's it... no more junk... I have ONE MONTH to the wedding, so I told DH that last night was our last little treat!!! Protein shakes so far today, and tea... and tea.... and pee and pee... I finally bought a BULLIT from Cdn Tire store they were on sale so I treated myself.. ALso bought some GREENS powder to add to my shake. Oh yeah, and I found some sublingual B-12 suppllement so I got that too. Did you know that if you take your B12 orally and swallow into the stomach that the Stomach juices destroy the B12? I just found that out yesterday, hence the Sublingual - it disolves under your tongue and enters your bloodstream directly before hitting the stomach... who knew???? Linda, do I have to phone you? Get your antidepressants changed girl! Or I am going to be on you like WHITE on RICE o.k.???? Janet, your dinner and a movie with a GF sounds great, what did you watch? Stephanie & Karri; Congrats on the marathon in Seattle... I watched a great movie on Breast Cancer last night, was bawling my head off when it was over , but so good. Phyl; you are doing so well with you exercise... you'll be leading the marathon's next year... where will it be? Hugs to everyone else I didn't mention, love you all. Candice:drool: -

Goodmorning Ladies! Stephanie, so glad you go unfilled thats a worry you don't need on the road. Good luck with your WALK... you are a dedicated Mama! Phyl, wow you amaze me with your stickwithitness... you ROCK..Graminator... that is too funny! Denise; I hate that you are going thru this stress with your DS. We raise them with OUR value systems, but alas they adopt their own and live by them... this does get them into trouble, but honestly even chaining him to the CAMP GROUND didnt work. If he wants loose, he'll get loose... you have to give up the idea that YOU can control his behaviour. I agree with the others, give him to GOD and let go of him.. Tell him you LOVE him always, but that he's got to be responsible for his own actions... (the only one you can control is YOU!) and then let the consequences pile up. If he has to do time in jail for disorderly drunkeness - then so be it... there will be a lesson in it for him.... a hard lesson albiet but you can't save him from himself. If he can't live by your curfews, then invite him to LEAVE your home... you have a right to a peaceful sleep at night. He won't starve, he'll be resourceful, there are food banks and welfare...it will be what HE chooses for himself. I guess this is where the term 'tough love' comes from... YOu and Hubby need to be on the same page on this and stick together... Much love and hugs, Candice Karla: I love the Traveling VAMPS... you have to take me with you though, sounds like SO MUCH FUN...
