Great day today! Woke up to the telephone ringing at 9 a.m. it was my GF (the one who just burried her hubby) she wanted to know if "I" wanted to go to costco shopping... DO I ????? I havn't been to costco in about 10 months. and my GF still shouldn't be driving distances just yet (concentration) so I picked her up and we LEASURLY doddled all thru the store - it was therapy for her. and just plain ol' fun for me.. It was so good to see her,and laughing... I bought a spring coat, LEvi Jeans, a black w/blue polka dot bathing suit.... then all the regular grocery items that you buy 6 mos. worth of.. LOL I spent $280 I just about freeked then said .. wht th hell? When was the last time I bought clothes for myself???? NOW on to the food, no breaky, and for lunch we split a thin crust pizza - I ate the toppings off of 3 pcs and only ONE crust, just the top crunchy part not the whole triange. I was full, but pizza did taste good. Tonight, I had 1 tbsn Baba Ganouj, 4 crackers, 1 slice of Havarti cheese, 1 fibre bar, and now I am havaing a Cafe Mocha(homemade)... So I think its been a pretty good day all round. DGF wants me to call her next time DH has a gig and we'll go out to a girly movie... I am so happy that she WANTS to be out and about... she is doing so well. I don't think I could be THAT strong if I lost my hubby... I am so proud of her.:smile2: Janet, hooray on the bra's... I totally get what you mean about being 'seen' without one on.... :sad:I won't be seen w/o in front of my SIL either... YIKES... Hey, where's PHYL today??? Steph, that looks like a great 2nd project!!! You rock on GF... pretty soon we'll have you making Prairie Points and Flying Geese!!!! 3rd Project, I'd suggest a RAIL FENCE pattern... it can be a 3 rail or a 5 rail fence... just a tiny bit more complicated than what you have done, but not by much!! Can't wait to see the pictures!

INcluding dinner, I've had 700 cals today. Chicken KOrma for supper over brown rice, with Broccoli. What a lazy day today~ still in my jammies (which consist of Army thermal underware) no bra, just WILD and FREE!!! Oh poor Peter... he never complains about my COZY attire... LOL

Oh that's a great Quilt project... It will go together quickly for sure!!! If you do the back of the quilt in FLANNEL it will make it really COZY to cuddle under :biggrin: WHen I do a lap sized quilt I often back them in flannel.. so couchy and soft I'm crossing my fingers for Jeff making up his mind about SURGERY, I'm opting for the SLEEVE, as that is what I'd do if I had it to do over again.

Geesh, I go out one night and you gals FILL a page!!!! Had a great time, met some NEW friends... very interesting folks.. they bought some property in MEXICO,and have subdivided it into 10 lots and are building on one and selling the others... they'll make a killing! ANyways they have a lead on a 4 bedroom Casa 4 bathrooms, marble kitchen....yada, yada... inground pool and an INDOOR pool too... Rent is $1000 per week... anyways we're talking about getting 4 couples to go in on it... so we may be going there... we'll see if it pans out... Drunken arrangements can be 'iffy'.. but it was fun to plan!~ Just so yo don't worry, they are not all perfect strangers... Harold the singer in Peters Band... well his sister is one of the couples and their friends are the one's who own property there and have the lead on the CASA... Food today, 900 before the BAR, I only had one glass of wine, but 3 or 4 coffees, I'll be up all night:wink: Also, they might want to go to FRANCE so I'll pass along CAR's infor to them... Oh the movie was great... My GH and I had appetizers for dinner and coffee's.. then split a bag of popcorn at the movies... but it had butter on it.. so I had to count THOSE calories!! GLad you are feeling better... Yes the WHITE Basmati rice is the only kind I buy. I have Tried and tried BROWN rice... but I just never like the consistency.. I know its better for you, but I'll just toss in a tblspn of Ground FLax seeds to make up for the roughage.... LOL Earl and his planes, it reminds me of Peter and his Guitar parts, sound equipment... yada,yada, yada... these are HIGH maintenance MEN~~~:tt1:
