Hey girls, I am feeling less DOWN today, got 2 new gigs today.... at a real restaurant!!! In Collingwood... soo I was excited about that... gives me validation.. But, there was some bad news yesturday, I didn'\t post it last night... cause I was really upset. I went to visit and have lunch with my DD yesterday,, and she tells me that theya re having marital issues... seeing a counselor... etc... Which is good news, but from HER tone of voice, I think she has already given up on the marriage... This just makes me nuts (marriage #2) and THIS husband is a doll. Peter and I just love him like a son... I seriously, seriously want to SLAP my daughter until she smartens up.... But all I can do is pray that she comes to her senses and that they continue to work on it. Its just sickening, and I feel so powerless!!! so that's why I have been quiet... I know its THEIR lives, I just hate the thought of her making a rash decsion.

I'M here, just in a bummer mood... can't get myself psyched up to day about our gig... Dreary, dreary rain weather here... GOsh I am sick of it!!! Plus, I am having a hard time getting back on the band wagon, may join WW next week.... no tuf love please, I know what to do, just cant seem to get started.... I'll get there. Linda, I may call you... perhaps we can plug away at it together. cbl ladies, when I'm in a better mood.

Hey girls; Karri! Whoop whoop, great news on the job(s) front... and moving!!! Janet: ya I needed a small de-fill as I cannot eat a BANDER size meal... and just end up grazing or pbing... so this should help. Finished watching IDOL last night and OPRAH yesterday afternoon.... and this a.m. had my mamogram ouch that hurt!!! She sqeezed me bad.... tomorrow, blood work to see how my cholesteral medication is working for me... I'll let you know how that goes.

Linda, not stop using FOUR Letter words..... like Snow!! yOU SHOULD BE A SHAMED OF YOURSELF....TSK,tsk...such language!!! Ya, I have been too busy. Gig last night, then today I drove into Toronto to get a slight de-fill... but you wouldn't know it by my dinner!!! two bites of beef and whoopsy....pd'd and had to start all over with my supper... its o.k. its in and down now.... YEAH have to start tracking calories again tomorrow for a while until I get back on the straight and narrow.... and it becomes habit again... Good news for Kerri and Lee.... PHyl, good work, getting in that bit of walking, you are a determined lass, I am sure you'll convince Dr. that you REALLY need that knee. Janet; yuk on the wind... it is still cool here. It was beautiful on the long weekend (Queen Victoria Day here with fireworks & all) we had a sunny warm weekend.... so nice for a change... but now its back to Springtime YUK ... driz\zle rain today and only 11 degrees C. Stopped into see my Mom on the WAY home from T.O. she is just dandy, I brought her some flowers as I missed her 89th Bday while I was away in the South.... My BIL stopped by this aft for a wee visit, he's off down to Southern Ontario to pick up his car... nice to see him... he spent the whole wintger in MEXICO and is now back to running the camp up North. So much work for them to do... Another GIG this Sat... and some more in the works... music is going well.

Hi ladies: Well, the last of my company just left so I got the first load of laundry into the machine... so I have a few minutes to type. Phyl; With your new SHOT will you be able to go out more and walk? That would be nice... bummer on not getting your replacement surgery... that woulda pissed me off. Its been a busy week here! My cousin Laurie came for the LONG weekend, and Peter's cousin PATricia came up as well... so a Girly weekend.. had a few good laughs... but now its nice and quiet around here.Plus yesterday Mark came over for a rehearsal so we got to play for the COUSINs... he also brought his computer and recording stuff so we got to RECORD some of our songs. What we hope to do is open up a WEB page witha sampling of our songs so we can better PROMOTE our trio and get more jobs. Some of them sounded really good, and Mark hasn't even done all the mixing yet.... stay tuned Oh Crap, just got a phone call from my counselors office.... I missed my appt today!! Oh, she was VERY nice abouty it thank GOD or she could have charged me for the appt.!!!! She said she'd just get caught up on paperwork. phewf! Food, not so good this weekend, went to the Village of Blue, listened to some music... walked past the FUDGE store and had to go in for a taste...ya right... then wine, wine, wine Pizza last night cauase I was tired of cooking for 4 all weekend!! I am out of practice.!! I made seafood spinach lasagne the first night, then my Sicilian Meatloaf for the other night... Hoummus, and spinach dip for snacking, Egg salad and ham salad for lunch time sandwiches...Last night Laurie bought the PIZZA's for all... it worked out great. Well better go check on the laundry... man watched the news last night, all those people in Joplin Missouri...OMG what a terrible thing. So many people in need of some GOOD LUCK breaks... man the weather is terrible this spring... Janet you are right, I should turn off CNN!!! Love all you guiys C

WOW, great news Karla! A boy... that is so cool... You'll be able to show him all about Yard Creativitly, he can help you plant bulbs in the Spring, and when he's older... you can teach him the proper way to RAKE LEAVES... Hi Girls; WOW everyone has been busy, busy Linda: So glad the party was a great success and that the boys made it home... You must be so proud of Andy... The band did o.k. huh? Loudness, ya that is a fine art... Getting the Sound & Volumes just right... I am sure a great time was had by all... we were thinking about you.!!! Karla; You did the right thing with DD#4... she'll cool down... just you wait and see... Linda is right, she'll be CRYING for her Mother when the time comes... and you'll be there to lend your support, just ignore the ASS#ole! He is completely useless, and sooner or later she will see that. HUGS Phyl; man you had quite a day!!!! All that poking and prodding, I bet you're glad that is behind you now.. Good for you throwing out the stuff.. I'lve been doing well, food wise... had a few glasses of wine yest... we went to visit my DF who just lost his wife.. of 38 yrs~~~~!!! She was one of the greatest friends of my life. And I credit her for saving my marriage at one (early) point.. we were both YOUNG navy wives and I was fed up with the whole deal... far a way from home... and lonely... second-guessing my marriage etc.... she gave me a good SMACK upside the head... and well the rest is history.... She was a doll, and her hubby is terribly lonely without her... He still cannot beleive she is really gone... its been 6 wks for him.. We drove home today 6hrs... and when we got home, he called to make sure we arrived o.k. and told us how much our VISIT meant to him... nice... and the DOGGIES (3) all got along well... so I am sure he'll come and visit us this summer. My cousin is coming for the weekend (surprise) but that is great, I'll have to vac tomorrow and do some laundry changing but that o.k. _ I'll love to see her... Night all

Yes, Karla ; all my snow is gone... the last of it (ice pile) dissappeared last week my neighbors told me... Peter even took all our SNOW tires off both cars today!!! Yee=haw, that is encouraging eh??? Bad wild fires in Alberta, Flooding in Manitoba...gosh its just about as bad as down southern states. People's farms ruined... Hi gang; yup it is great to be home... although we are heading up to Ottawa for a few days to see our Friend who just lost his wife (while we were away on the trip) Getting caught up here today. unloading the van of MY stuff... Peter unloaded everything else, and left ALL my stuff still out there (?) Anyhoo- got it done and now working on getting everyones bills paid up current... all my Moms stuff.... just finished that... and now onto ours. Although it wasnt too bad as I was able to pay a few online while we were travelling. Calling back all our phone messages, there were 17!! Got some new gigs too... so working the PHONES today... trying to drum up work HOpe everyone is well and happy, Happy MONDAY everyone. Candice

Hi Girls; Sorry, Ive b een MIA,, arrived home late last night... we are whooped!! Nice to sleep in our own little beds... Although I told Peter, I wanna switch our KING size back to a QUEEN! I liked cuddling closer up... like we had in the TRUCK camper.... it was cozzy Had such a nice visit with Linda and Mel.. sorry we got there too early to be able to stay for your Retirement Party on Tues... You will have FUN, FUN, FUN... Missing Andy's band too... sorry about thaty! We didn't end up in Shipshiwanna, we barreled straight across Michigan, and stopped in Sarnia to visit my Aunt and Uncle who we bought the truck from... They were excited to hear all about our travels. Then we stopped briefiy in London, On... were going to spend the night with friends there... but they had already made plans .... so we motored all the way home the resty of the weay... We ate our LAST RESTAURANT MEAL, enjoyed it... but now its back to bread and water ....LOL Weight gain, while away was not as bad as I had thought it would be... I was certain that I'd put on 10 lbs... but not even close... less than 2 lbs... YEAH... Protien shake today, coffee, tea and chicken legs and yams for supper... Karri, glad you are progressing to firmer foods, keep it up... you'll feel healthier in no time. WEll, gotta run and check my chicken. Love C

Morning everyone; Well temperature is 50F... so back into Canadian Clothes!!! We are inching our way back home to Canada....ever so slowly.. My Mom isoo.k... spoke to her yesterday. MY Sister is back from Mexico too... so she stopped in to Visit my Mom... its also my Mom's 89th Birthday in a few days!!! Gosh, I can't beleive she is that old...such a trouper! But it is nice to know that longevity runs in my family :-) her other remaining sisters are 87 and 80, and a brother is 82 yrs old...thats all that remain of the 9 children born to Scottish Immegrants. I am an 8th generation Canadian. A second or third cousin of mine is a historian (dah!) and she researched the family tree and published a book on it... Very cool, glad I got a copy of it ... as this cousin is very, very old too. On my Fathers's side of the family.. it is mostly English immegrants, although on that side I am only 2nd generation Canadian. My Pat. GF came to Canada to be a Blacksmith in 1890's,,,,, Well, more exploring today... drinking my first coffee of the day with my SF Hazelnut Coffee Mate... alright you yanks, you have converted me!!! No more milk in my coffee, but I still have to have MILK in my tea.... can't ruin it with coffee mate. Janet; before I leave the states, but am closer to home I am going to buy myself a case of the liquid parkay spray!!!!! PLus, I found ZESTRA at walmart here... &8.49 cents a box vs. $13.59 at home in Canada. sheesh... is it all shipping differences???? Well thats about it for now... have a great day everyone!

We saw so much flooding in Mississippi, Arkansas, and all the way up north to Wisconsin... it is just aweful, roads closed everywhere, parks and homes under water... I don't know how people can bear all these natural disasters!!! Pray for each and everyone of those families affected.... They were quite worried in Natchez, Ms because the water hadn't crested yet, not till mid May... In 1927 they had the WORST flooding ever, and this year they expect to exceed it... 5 feet above the Levee's... terrible. Boy, really nice folks here at the Wanna Bee Campground... the man just came over and gave us a brochure on THE HOUSE ON THE ROCK, a cool thing to see I guess. and he didn't want US to miss it while we were here... WIfi is hit and miss, but right now its UP! YEAH!!!

Good morning girls, oops afternoon... Stoippeda at a McDonalads right now. Using their WIFI, we stayed in a State Camp last night. VERY Quiet... ah yes! nice sleep, but more rain during the night... I dont' for the life of me rememberf all this rain on our trip WEST... yukky rain, then Bridget is all dirty all the time.. Just crossed over the border from Illinois to Wisconsin.. so will see our Dear Linda in a couple of days.. She has always told me such good things about the DELLS so we are going there for a few days... AH, we can tell we are heading northward... no more dead armadillos on the road, now we see skunks again and racooon.... we should have wifi tonight at the RV campground, more faciliyties there... so we can watch TV too on HULU.com.... we are ajust about out of DVD's to watch... Back into "Canadian" clothes., tshirts, hoodies, blue jeans... weather is hovering around 65 ish to 50 ish during the nights. More later, Peter just showed up and is shanking his car keys at me.... gotta go... Love to all, XC

Hi Phyl, I ve been on ghag drug too. I up here they call it Celebrex or Vioxx ,,, works well for me too... I sometimes take a a Zantac with it just to be sure its easy on my stomach... but you should notice a big improvement in couple of dayss. Just had to cut my bangs this a.m. they were gettng in my eyes.... ahgf, now PETER IS VACCUMMING because I made such a mess of the camper.... ah nbever mind that Bridget walks in and out of here with 4 paws carrying dirt all day !!!!!

Kerri, glad you made it out of surgery ok. I'll have to go ocer to FB to gewt the update Phyl, yeah, you made it home o.k.... yes, when you have a new keyboard it can makee you nuts.... PETER just fixed my laptop tody=ay... I've been typing with WEIRD key setupsa for a long time.... HAH, now I have to re-get-used-to it.... all over agian I didn't ask him to, he just went ahead and changed MY computer!!! Today, was laundry day in the camper...hee,hee so fashioned a makeshift clothes line INDOORs... to bungy cords strung together, attached to opposing walls in the RV... you just had to duck and weave to cook supper!!!! LOL Talkd to my dBROTHER ON Skype today, he found some contract work flying over in Hong Kong for one month, so he is happy again! So that takes us off the hook for NOT visiting Him in FLA... Janet, what happened with the Doc? you never explained
