Got my TOEs done today, still RESSTING my finger nails.... since the last acrylics... they grow so well in the summer.... Janet: WW was on hold during the WELSH visitors..and then my quick trip to visit my sick GF.. just too damed inconvenient... but I am getting back at it TUES is W I day... I am still down 1 lb. Where' Phyl ????? Exercise!!! Oh yeah, cleaned my house like a basturd yesterday...my back was killing me... took a Tyl #3 and 2 rextra Strength Tyl... too boot. Today, back is better but now my Left knee is making pains like its giving out.... ACK... where is my cleaning lady!!!! But the place does look good, now I just gotta keep it clean until LINDA comes at the end of the month... 3 gigs this weekend!!! Canada Day Tomorrow, and then you guys have your BIG holiday!! Whoo-hoo

Hi girls; Yeah Phyl thanks... had somewhat of a nice relaxing evening... Went with Jan and Bonnie to dinner, but not until they both CHAIN SMOKED 3 cigs each... Man I hardly wanted my dinner by then.... We get to the rest. and THEY want to eat outside on the Patio.... so that they can continue to SMOKE...while we all eat... YUK!!! I am venting, and Janet... just to let you know YOU ARE A CONSIDERATE SMOKER!!! You don't force everyone else around you to smoke your cigs .... going home in the a.m. I love Janice dearly, but I can't sit around here and watch her smoke 24/7.... especially erks me when she's just finished 8 rounds of Chemo, is lost 25 lbs and is a walking bone rack.... it hurts to see her so rundown.... but she always fixes herself up and puts on the bravest face.... God she does have guts!!! She's gone to bed, gets so tired so easily... but I hear her up there COUGHING..... I will continue to pray for her return to health, I hope you can all find it in your hearts to say a prayer too. PHyl; sorry the WI was dissappointing... I think Earl my need the 50 mg of Zoloft , not you.... slip it into his oatmeal!!! LOL Linda: feeling better tonight? what did the family do that upset you? Karla, I hope your visit with Mom is going o.k. I will remember you in my prayers tonight too.... Mom's can PUSH all the right buttons huh? Hi gals, still at my GF's house... Oh Phyl the HWYS here were horrible... I HATe the 400 series roads... you call them INTERSTATES.... and the ones in Toronto are 8 - 16 lanes wide.... with every ahole out there driving too damn fast.... O.k. I know I am an OLD LADY driver ( just early by a few years) so going home, I am doing the back roads... the 2 lane type.... it will take me longer but I'll arrive without a MIGRAIN.... More drama with the Jazz gigs... we are booked ALL weeknd 3 days in a row... then the sat night gig was cancelled MANAGEMENT changes at the rest.... yada yada yada... well, now its all straightened out as of this am. 6 -9 p.m. Sat night 2 July and also the 30th July too. more to follow, C

Hi Girls, here I am at my GF house... drive here was a nightmare... Dropped offf the Welsh friends at the airport and then continued another hour to my GF's house.. It is beautiful.. and she is doing Very well... albeit thin... wish I could donate her some of my blubber!!! LOL We are having a nice visit, going to the casino soon... didn't have the heart to say NO... what the FLICK its only money and you only live once.!! Phyl, I understand you Unfriending on FB... I totally get it.. Karla; try to enjoy your Mother time... remember she is just a flawed human like the rest of us :-) Denise: I had to laugh t your DRUNK post... MOrning Ldies; oooh I am just getting on under the wire!! WOke up this a.m with a phone call from my GF Jan ( the one with Brst Cancer) had a nice long chat... she is in between Chemo and her Radiation starting... and I am going to go see her Sat evening when the Welsh friends leave. I have to take them to the airport anyways around 6 p.m., so instead of coming home... I'll just carry on south for about another Hour and be at Janice's house... Will stay for a couple days.. then be back home intime for gigs on the long weekend. She (JANICE) is sounding stronger than she has the last couple of phone calls... and I feel so bad that I never got there all winter when she was going thru the worst of it. This is good.... Another mutual friend of ours was 5 yrs cancer free, it came back just recently and she had to have a mastectomy this time... so there's 2 very close to home... God, ladies count your blessings today and everyday. Life is short.... LOVE YOU ALL & DONT EVER FORGET IT!!! now gotta gfo cll my MOM

Hey Linda; Company is having a blast, driving all over hells half acre... they are in Niagra right now, and home with us tomoorw until Sat night when they fly fome to Wales... Its been fun... they are great people. WW, well, I weighed at home, and I think I am still down 1-2 lbs. so thats not too bad... BETTER than a gain for sure.. Next week, I'm back at regular meetings etc...

Good Morning Girls (wherever you are) Well, my Welsh company got back to WB from OttaWa safe and sound... but their butts were sore from so much driving!!! (I did warn them) I had made a nice meal of some favorites for Aly to try.... Vegetarian Lasagne, My Aunt Flo Beans, CORNBREAD, Banana Bread, and Rhubarb compote for over Icecream (or just by itself in a cup) They LOVED the meal, so it was worth the effort!! This a.m. they took off again for Niagra Falls for 2 days, and it is only 3 1/2 hours away so that won`t be too bad. Plus the FALLS is totally worth it. They`ve booked the Maid of the Mist Boat tour, plus a Helicopter ride over the Falls and Gorge, plus they are going down into caves under the FALLs for that vantage point too. I think they may go to the Butterfly conservatory too... well worth the look there... Then they come back to W.B. on Wed. and we decide what to do the last 3 days of their trip.... Plans were A: camping, B: trip up north to my sisters Camp to see the Northern Lights.... but now the weather looks crappy for those days!!! Argh.... may just end up sitting around Wasaga Beach and staring at one another!!!! Need some rainy day suggestions!!!! Janet: I agree on the wine thing... Women`s bodies just can`t handle too much... after 2 nights of partying, I need 4 days of TEA, water, and Coffee!!! I am getting old, just can`t take long term partying anymore

HI Girls; Phyl; hugs on the valve issues and echocardiogram... my Mom's had that several times... gives really good accurate results. SO I am glad your specialist is so thorough. LInda; How's the hip recovery? Did you start physio? I am laime, and can't remember if you told me already. sheesh!! Janet: Went to the gig last night, and sang about 1/2 the songs that I usually do.. they guys played more instrumental BLUES tunes inbetween, so that worked out well.. and today... I am JUST not opening my mouth... having a Quiet non-talking day. Denise: Still saying prayers for gettiny you what you want most... A NEW JOB.... Karla; I'm cookingh up a storm today, the Welsh friends took my car and droave to Ottawa for a few days... nice and quiet catch up day for me.. Make a vegetarian Lasagne for tomorrow nights supper, Stewed some |Rhubarb to have over yogurt for dessert. and MADE a Banana Bread for Steve when he gets home tomorrow... He has never had Banana bread? can you imagine? and they don't know what RHUBARB tastes like either... so I am making some Canadian foods for them to try... Tonight, Petie and I are having bbq steak and sauteed veggies for supper.... ummmm can't wait... should have bought some CORN oon the cob to go with it. Love you all, Candice

Hey girls, I am here, still alive.... albiet very tired. ANd I've just about lost my voice.... gig tonight, don't know If I'll be able to sing or not... too much talking and laughing with my travelers from Wales... They are a hoot, both of them have LONG legs so have done tons of walking in Toronto.. took them there to see the BIG city.. Parking is very expensive so we walked a lot... and ******* FAST.... went to the Bata Shoe museum, Indian Lunch, Went to the theatre saw Billie Elliot ( it is fabulous) went to the CN Tower ( 3rd tallest building in the world) ate lunch up top the revolving restaurant... very cool. THen did the AGO Art Gallery of Ontario... drank way too much wine... food was pretty good... Didn't get to WW weight in but I did WEIGH myself this a.m. and down 3 lbs... Its unofficial... but I'll take the #.... This a.m. Steve and Aly (Whelsh folks) left in my car to drive to Ottawa for a couple of days, then they drive back her SUnday aft. MONday they leave for Niagra Falls (3 days) then I think I have them convince to go camping up to Tobermory for 2 days then we take them back to the Airport 9 p.m. flight back to the U.K. It has been a whirlwind!!! Denise; sorry to hear Ronny is sick!... that is a drag for sure, and condolances on his Aunts passing... I am sending prayers that you get a different job too. Janet: if bad luck comes in threes then NOW you can relax. I am sorry for all the funerals you have to go too. HUGS!!! Congrats on closing your Bro's estate!! I have not dug into my BONUS pts, nor do I eat my activity pts either... but I know this week when my company comes from England, we will be drinking... so I'll use my bonus pts towards that! Great news on the 2 oz of steak and the nice gettogether!! Girlie evening are always fun!.. Hope the river calms down and stays where it is supposed to!!! Yeh, it rained here today too... Very hot this a.m. 90ish, then HUGE thundershowers... now it is cooling off again... I had just turned my AC on for the first time today !!!! Probably tomorrow, I'll turn it off agian... Vaccumming and cleaning today, tomorrow and Friday... my Welsh friends arrive on Sat.

I joined WW today.... I am a lifetime member anyways... so I'll track pts and go weight in once per week, I am NOT going to step on my scalae at home...

OH Phyl your antics on the scooter had me laughing... Janet you are right about the eating, it isn't even FUN anymore, nothing tastes as good as it should.... so its tirme to quit. No, I havn't spoken to Bryan about 'their' issues, as he does not know that DD told me anything... SO I just emailed HIM and HER and told them the CAMPER was available for a camping trip... perhaps if they get on the road together in a little adventure... they can have some quiet time to talk. 2 yrs ago we were all in France together and had such a fine time... They were REALLY happy then... I hope they can get baack to that. Petie is away for a couple of days, so I just finished watching 2 movies... the first one was o.k. Summer in Genoa... which was nice cause I remembered being on all the same streets in January.. Genoa is such a beautiful quaint city... but the plot was lacking. 2nd movie was with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher...he is such a babe!!!! OMG.... it had me LOL many times.. so that is a GOOD movie.

Oh I forgot about the MAPLE trees, ya they are messy little bastards, I've had to clean out my Eavstroughs TWICE already, I sweep and the crap off the trees is out there again... This is just the budding season, then come the freeking KEYS, ACORNS from the Oaks!!!! But you are coming in the FALL right to RAKE for me.... remember you promissed KARLA!!!!

Ya, I know the ROundup is scarry... but we all just have to get used to PICKING our dandelions out of our lawns from now on... I am STILL fighting with Peter. I don't want him using WEED and FEED either... I figure ANYTHING that you put on the lawn is not good, your little doggies run around in it constantly, their little paws absorb the chemicals and their TINY livers can't detox them quick enought.. Lawn stuff just isn't safe... So my lawn is full of weeds (we just mow them, its still green) plus I get so little sunlight in my yard, mostly I grow MOSS really well, plus some 'walk upons' thyme, irish moss, creeping Jenny( it does very well in my acidic soil) ALSO, I've given up on fancy varieties of stuff... If a plant does not like an ACID environment then I don't bother with it... oh yeah, and draught tollerant would be good too... What I grow WELL, is Hostas, Heukera (SP?), Iris's, Poppies, Bachelor Buttons, Bleeding Hearts, Sedam(any kind), Astilbe.... thats about it....oh and roses do so-so...OH yeas, and Peonies do well in my yard too... I just transplanted a ROSE OF SHARON... I dug it up from my Mom's old house 8 yrs ago, and had it in a not too sunny location... WEll, this yr - I figured I'd better nurture it some more, cause it may outlast my Mother....So I dug it up and put it in a really sunny spot and gave it lots of Bone Meal.... Now the dog is attracted to it!!! So gotta keep Bridget from rolling in the dirt over there... Nice, nice afternoon here... sat out and read for a long time...make myself some BAJEAN Rum punch...... I just wrote her a nice long letter .... so we'll see if it makes her think at all.. She is sometimes just too damn cerebral for her own good... Three gigs we had this week, and got another booking this afternoon for the Barrie Jazz Festival... so that should be good exposure. Also, I've been doing a LOT of reading. A book called NORTH and SOUTH (part 1 of 3 books) I just love it!!! It gives me a lot of pre-Civil war history so that I can understand better what I saw on our trip... the guy is a very good writer, and its hard to put down... Peter says, its been made into a movie, why don;t you just WATCH it... nope... wouldn't be nearly as good.. I think Patrick Swazye was in the movie.. I don't know for sure? Our friends come from WALES next week, so we'll be busy, busy for 2 weeks with them... so if I am not around its because they are keeping my busy..... I just sent my daughter a long letter...
