Ya you are right, there was NOTHING on Tv last night. My fish that I loved is called WHITEFISH it is fresh fish from Georgian Bay (Lake Huron) it is VERY mild and does not have that 'fishy' smell.... I can't eat strong smelling fish, makes me gag!! Where did you get the idea that Halibut is high in Calories??? Fish is very low fat and low cal and high in Protien and Omega 3's... ESPECIALLY Cold Water fish like HALIBUT... it is from the North Atlantic and VERY good for you... I am sure if you ask your Coscto might carry the WHITEFISH, or I also love TILAPIA, which is an ocean fish and also very mild... they FARM alot of Tilapia now because its become so popular, so becareful... that you buy WILD fish... I watched a documentary a few weeks ago on FARMED SALMON vs WILD Salmon... you should SEE what they Feed the farmed fish... its gross... and they add DYE to the Salmon fish food so that their flesh has that nice RED colour...artificially.... so again WE eat that dye as well... I just hate that Idea. I know, you can also become paranoid with all the health warnings that you hear about our food products... I hate to think about it too much... we'll just end up eating grass like the free range cows LOL:lol: Cold here yest and today, I can hardly get warm... Fall has arrived :smile2: gOT THE gas fireplace on, socks and slippers, tshirt, hoodie and jeans... am bearly keeping warm... it is bright and sunny though.. I should go for a walk with the beasties. Peter leaves tomorrow for 6 days.... yeah!!!! I like the house to myself now and then, but by the end of the week I'll probably be whining that I am lonely... so just tell me to SHUT THE HELL UP:tongue: Planning on doing lots of sewing and singing... to keep busy and out of the cupboards... only healthy food in the house. Did I mention how much I love CHicken JERKY!!!! OMG its good... oh yeah, and I gott a drink lots of TEA... that'll keep my warmed up too. Happy SUNDAY everyone. -

Fun Saturday, went on a Quilt Shop Hop... Started out at 6:30 a.m. for a 40% off Fabric sale... but when the reg price is $18 a metre (40 inches) thats still expensive fabric... So I didn`t buy much at that store. 2nd store was a tiny one, kinda outa the way place, but once we found it I hit the JACKPOT.. bought some lovely fabric for $4. a meter so bought 8 m of that, then 4 m of 2 fabrics at $7 m... so still a great find... yippee!!! Then on to store £3 and 4... didn`t buy any thing else but it WAS fun browzing.... Stashed alll the fabric into my quilting room quickly so Peter wouldn`t see that I bought more!!! Fish for supper, tatter tots, which got stuck and had to c ome up... then back to eating the fish which was DELICIOUS!!! Tonight, its been hard to stay away from snacks.... argh, but my cal tally for the day is still only 1200.... so that is still success!!! -

Oh crap is right! :smile2: :mad2:  :crying:  I still have trouble with bread, try toasting it... sometimes that allows me to eat it, albiet very slowly, and chew chew chew.... Every fill adj. is a learning curve all over again. Be patient it`ll work out. I like the flat Whole wheat Pita bread, I cut it into little triangles and then bake it for 10 mins to crisp it up... makes for great dipping with hummous, baba ganoosh etc.... ham salad, egg salad dipped with pitas... yum... I am getting hungry!!:crying:  DH took me out for dinner tonight... said ``ah, you didn`t have a good start to the day`` dah, no kidding F__kwad!!! So I had seafood linguine 500 cals but oh so worth it..... -

So happy about the Michael transformation... how cool and rewarding was that... now about your SIL.... Stephanie, you are a good person who does GOOD works. Because you have a GOD voice inside of you that guides YOU.... you did the right thing driving your dumbass SIL`s family around for her ... that was the KINDEST thing you couldhave done for her.... but, because she dosn`t appreciate it or acknowledge it does NOT take away from the LOVE that you showed doing it. Don`t let her tangle that `good feeling`` that you get inside for doing the right thing.... Be proud of yourself, and know that at the end of the day you will have no regrets, that you did your best! LOVE YOU, and hugs hon:wub: Candice -

Poop, just lost my first post... we dont have electoral colleges... This election that I am working on is for local government. Mayor, deputy Mayor, Cousilors etc.... Like Provincial and Federal Elections... its one man- one vote... So I like that system. There are 10 days of advance polling, so that if you ca`nt get there on OCT 25 the real election day you can post your ballot early and when its convenient. I am only scheduled to work on the 25th... Peter has to work on an advanced poll too... ah what the heck its $150 and my civic duty is done .... -

So Happy to hear that Mels biopsy is scheduled.... Ive been reading about flooding in Wis... are you guys o.k. in She??? Janet; I am here, I was just away over the weekend, so I missedf some of the new tv shows :-( But I did see the one with Jimmy Smits and Detroit 187 ... both are GOOD!!! Way busy today. Had ELECTION training today... all day... oh my brain is full.... I work on election day only, Oct 25th.. Peter has to work the advance poll as well... ha,ha,ha... Oh well, its our civic duty right? We are using a voting machine that is made in the US so a guy came up from FLA to train us... He was really funny and made it go smoother than was anticipated... He assured us that there would be No HANGING CHADS... LOL we teased him alot! Think Peter is taking me to Swiss Chalet for chicken dinner... yumm, I am starved. ... Protien bars and Pro Shakes today so far... gotta start being accountable again. Hope Earl is feeling better soon.... and Karla. look after your tummy, dosn't sound like you are getting enough to eat:bored: -

oh crap did I lose my post? shit I did.... it was for Karri; Honey, I feel for you. BUT what is done is done... don't spend your energy on regrets... Just hit this new year with acheivable goals. Teach the curriculum as presented; no its not inspired; no its not what you'd like to be teaching... but its what you HAVE... work with it and don't make yourself nuts.. You are way too hard on yourself. Just get thru this year, and then focus on getting back into the type of environment that you love. O.k. I am NOT a teacher,, where are the other more educated types....?.... come in here. -

Oh Stephanie, with Michael, its a control issue... He is remaining STINKY because HE wants control over his body... it could be worse, he could be an anorexic and refuse to eat... but the principle is the same... HE WANTS CONTROL... his motive is Not to make your crazy.... so stick to the couselors suggestion and LET nature take its course... put some Vicks vaporub under your nose.... You can threaten, you can yell... but does that honestly work with Michael? Hummm I don't think so... Or there is another tactic, but you and Jeff will both have to be onboard... YOU 2 don't shower or bath or brush teeth for a weekend until Michael thinks YOU stink... maybe then he'll get it...
Your adolescent (who is approaching puberty or has begun puberty) may not realize that they are producing offensive smells as their routine may not have changed.
Your tweens (ages 9 to 12) and teens may have observed their change in smell but did not know what to do about it. Oh that would be cool, but Utica NY is still a hell of a long way from me, and Montreal is even farther east!!! Is she driving back across the US or the Canadian side? Cause then it might make it closer... So she ends up in Montreal, if she came home the Cdn way say thru Ottawa, our Nations Capital, then came west across Ontario to Toronto then UP to Wasaga Beach from there... that would work and she`d get to see some great cities and countryside... chk out this link to mapquest o.k. that didnt`work so well.... -

Actually, I did fine. not too nervous, just enough to feel ALIVE... and ready to roll. There was a crowd at the beginning, leftovers from the supper crowd and an ART gallery thingy... but when that was over the crown thinned out.... to my BFF Sally, one couple at the back of the restaurant, a band member from one of Peters other groups, the Festival Staff and the sound man. So didn`t forget any words... and John just messed up a couple of notes ... so all in all it was successful , kind of like a Dress REhersal for TONIGHTs show. Friday night so hopefully we will have a bigger crowd. Some more folks have rsvp`d so should be a bigger house crowd... I wore my BLACK dress slacks, heels, Black sleeveless TOP with Studds around the collar, with a flimsy little OverJacket black and white swirly things and a SILVER thread that ran thru thew fabric.. 3/4 sleeves (yeah!!!) and Silver jewellry... it was raining so I was worried about my hair FLOPPING but it held o.k. Of the 3 acts that played there last night, I do believe we were the best... we`ll see what tonight brinngs.... whoo-hoo I am pumped!! -

I`ll be all set Weather here is wrotten today, raining all day, so probalby no one will show up tonight anyways right?? So it`ll be a «great rehersal» thats the way I am goin to look at it anywauys.... -
