CALORIES/CARBS/FAT/PROTEIN1,130/110/44/78 Wednesdays food... So Janet; that area of Mexico is awesome!! ANd Scuba diving way -cool!!! IT is some of the BEST snokling and scuba-ing in the world there.... so take full advantage.. I've always wanted to go to Cozumel... its on my BUCKET LIST along with BELIZE Karla, you rock. you are really planning ahead well for your surgery! It will be so good to put it behind you I am sure. It's gonna be painful, but you can handle that, you've had those repairs before (me two, twice! AUGH) good planning on the lounge chair for class. Phyl; you would have had fun with me today~.. It was our GIg at the Seniors Centre where my Mom lives. The Corporation that runs the home produced a Book of Remembrance for all the Veterens that served in the 1st and 2nd wars... all the stories from the book are of men and women who still LIVE in the Chartwell homes across Canada. So today was their BOOK LAUNCH and we were asked to perform. Some of the old gals even got up and danced to our music... what fun.... in their 80's and 90's... even had some dancing with their walkers... My Mom was so proud. Not much voice left... I only sang for an hour, but my voice is still not completely healed from the Laryngitis/ Chest virus.. kyrips it takes a long time to get over this virus... Phyl, you and I musta had the same old bug. Anyways, home now, just finishing my Protien Choc shake with 1/2 banana, 1 tbsp Peanut butter in it for SUPPER.. 763 cals so far today, so I have 300 left for snacks tonight. I drank 2 liters of water today while singing, had to keep the voice box moist.... I am so glad that I made it thru. Cancelling was not an option that I was going to tolerate.:frown: -

Karla, oh yeah! We do Halloween.. bigtime»!!!! Neighbors do up the whole front lawn in cemetary style creppieness.. music piped in and the whole bit... the kids just love it. They start the decoration production right after Thanksgiving (oct 12th) I make that fake pumpkin pie too. I just omit the crust and call it Pumpkin Custard.. I put it up in individual 3/4 cup servings ramkins. Then I only eat ONE!!! But I do like a dollpup of Cool Whip on mine. Phyl, YES you can put Pineapple in Jello... You just HAVE to use CANNED Pineapple, fresh fruit will NOT set ( don`t know why, it just wont) any ways, Fresh pineapple is so expensive in Canada, I always have canned in the cupboard. »My MOM was the Queen of Jello!!!! She`d shred carrot, celery, canned Pineapple, canned Mandarin Oranges... and put it all im togethere... I also have this great recipe for Pistachio Pudding, walnuts, pineapple, mini marshmellows, cherries OMG it is so good... not exactly BAND friennndly... but its still good... we serve it at Christmas time. -

Great, lets all GROUP Skype tonight??? what do you think?? I am planning TILAPIA done is Corn Flake Crumbs and EVOO tonight, 400 cals. but its gonna be divine!!!! Plus I`ve beern making JELLO to beat the band... on another thread someone suggested instead of the 2nd cup of cold water, use Diet Soda, flavor of choice... so I am really excited to try that!! I make SKIM MILK JELLO last night.... it was o.k. Peter didn`t like it at all... I could always break out some Lowfat Cream cheese and put that in for something different. I am just trying to stay away from salty cruncy stull... I cannot eat 2 cups of popcorn, I just want more... so I`ve laid off of that and SUGGERY stuff... down about 6 lbs so far... -

that;s right Karla, i was going out of town FABRIC shopping in Michigan. However, my GF`s mother had a small stroke and she had to go running to Toronto to check on her. So its off for this weekend, but we were both so disappointed that we vowed to go again soon!!! While the driving weather is still good. One nights slip with food shouldnt be too bad, dont beat yourself up... what would you SAY to ME if the shoe was on the other foot. You would treat me with kindness, but support my healthier choices... right? Hang in there. I hope you get your quilting room together today! That is always fun, arranging, touching, looking at ALL your fabric.. Gosh I have so much already, why I`m going to Michigan is BEYOND me... oh ya, its for SALLY`s Benefit... not mine:rolleyes::smile2:  Since it looks like we`ll both be home tonight.. why not lets SKYPE ea other and have a good long chat.. (as long as my little voice holds out) thankfully its getting a bit better. I took Bridget to the BEACH today for a nice loong romp.. I`ll put up the pictures in a moment. -

Hey, Chris way to go on the 6 lbs... you are on your way!! Sorry the shoulder is so, but «i guess that is to be expected. I didn`t have much pain from my lapband surg either... we are all different. The only thing I really felt was the gas pains in the shoulder... I walked a lot and took tylenol ... that was all I needed.

I think you should rest and take it easy until this neck issue calms down. Do the test that Karla suggested... it may convince you that it is only a virus that just has to run its course. Perhaps going to the funeral and being around lots of other people right now might not be the best thing to do... especially if its a virus. Enjoy your quiet weekend Have a safe and comfortable trip! We`ll miss you until Monday! -

Thanks Janet; I know you are a sucker for animals too, but it seems quieter around here already. You know it was OCT last year when we had to put Woody down.... FLICK I hate the fall. oH Karla , don`t cry , my eyes are stinging so bad...YUP he did have a fabulous life, we`ve been sitting here reminising about all the antics (trouble) he used to get into. THAT BOY HAD STORIES TO TELL!!! From his constant run ins with BEEs in the backyard (nope he never learned that they stung! dah) & sKUNKS, to racing thru the woods on a total adrenal rush only to impale himself on someones cast off bed springs,,... off to the vet... Actually, in 11 yrs he had more calamaties that had to be stiTched up, cleaned up than WOODY did in her 15 yrs. (she didn`t get into too much trouble) It was always my Twig man! He never, ever failed to meet me at the back door when I came home, regardless of whether he`d been napping on the couch with Peter. He`d hear the electric garage door and come running, Bridget nor Woody ever did this.(not for me at least)..There were 2 times when he caught a finger nail in the fencing(tryng to catch a wiley squirrel) and hung there screaming until I got him loose... Once would have been enough for me! I could go on and on... lots of good memories, lots of times I`d look at that dog making 12 attempts to jump up onto the bed...I`d scratch my head, wasn`t this the guy who jumps 5 foot wooden fences??? He was my mystery boy - and I loved him dearly. -

Well the Vet just called, and TWIG's liver enzymes are off the charts. He is jaundiced, she is treating him with antibiotics but they really won't do any good. As his white blood cell count is normal. Next step would be an Ultrasound of the abdomen, it would positively confirm either CANCER or CHRONIC HEPATITIS, cancer is not treatabe, and the hepatitis can be treated but its a lenthy and costly regime, with no guarantee he'd return to health as he knew it. He could still continue to vomit and have diarhea daily throughout the course of treatment. Plus the ultrasound is done in Toronto, and would be $1000 + So Peter and I have decided the best thing to do is euthenise my baby boy. It really sucks, he's 11 yrs old and also has heart problelms. The vet said with 2 major organs involved its a quality of life issue. The heart meds have helped him get to 11, but now this? Going to be a real shitty day
