augh! multi post didn`t work again... I click ORANGE on Phyl, then Karla, thn hit POST on Janets... what am I doing wrong!!! Janet; your cookies do sound GOOD!!! But I havn`t been drooling over `treats` this season.like I usually do.. YEah!!! Went to the gig yesterday.. wow, what I nice place... huge seniors home.... 168 beds facility... got paid well too. Now the room that we were playing in... was adjacent to a ``Snack Bar`` area... the lady was taking HOME MADE PIES out of the oven... the SMELL was divine!!! Oh and I thought, hummmm nice peice of pie after singing????.... but then I caught a glimps of myself in the washroom mirror and said ``HELL NO!``` I am looking good!!! Did I tell you Janet that i bought 2 of those Leissee undergarment thingys...?? I just LOVE them, even better than the SPANKX and a lot cheaper... didn`t realize how much BACK fat I was showing until I tried one of them on, vs. Spankx... wow, what a difference... getting a real waistline now!!! Sorry your Christmas party was a dud... bonuses was nice though!!! Our CLINIC boss dosn`t give out bonuses like our last boss did... PLUS, we had to PAY for our own Christmas dinners`at the restaurant... oh the BOss bought 2 litres of WINE for the table.... (ah gee thanks, button up your shirt before your Heart falls out!) Karla: Congrats on the weight!!! Don`t worry about ,musc;le turning into Fat... it can`t be done! ! Actually, I think CA.. has a couple of teams... the ANaheim DUCKS (disney get it?) and the L.A. KINGS... the LA kings had Wayne Gretzky for their owner and couch... Wayne is a CANADIAN Icon.... the best Hockey player that we ever turned out.... His wife is American I think and I believe they mostly live in Ca. now... Hey did you know that a Canadian invented BASKETBALL??? just a bit of trivia for ya! Off to do a GIG this afternoon, a Sr`s Home agian... they love it so much.. but I am dressing LIGHTER today! It was so HOT at the last place... I think they had the heat set at 85 for the old dolls.

Well, goodmorning ladies!! Phyl I am glad for the update... and also happy that you are in the CAR and not the RV with all that bad weather, rain etc.... the car is more managable... Hey Janet, that belt thing is a great idea.... way cool. I appologized to Peter.... said I love you hun.... he said ``I love you too babe, just sometimes more than others`` LOL I can`t even remember what I watached last night dah!!! I had such a terrible headache, watched it with an IceBAG on my head and a hot pack behind my neck... then I gave myself 20 mins and reversed them.... it worked and I broke out of the headache.. BUt i had taken, tyl, asprin, Ibuprofen... so I just couldn`t take any more drugs.... although I wish I`d started the dosing with a Percocet... it wouldn`t worked SOONER.... ha,ha,.ha. Went to visit my MOM today, took some of her presents into to her to put under HER tree.... so that`ll amuse her for a few days tring to figure out what is what!!!! No peeking I told her... she says ``Ha, that what YOU used to do when you were a little girl.... peek every year:`` One year I spoiled the whole thing, found my mom`s secret hiding place and opened everything and rewrapped it all.... what a littl bugger I was!!!! I bought a ticket on a silent auctuion for a quilt... I won!! So had Peter pick that up today, seems he REALLY likes the fabric and colours... so I guess he`s getting in on HIS couch in thew basement... I am washing it now.... Ah, missing for most of today... bad headache!! I`ve taken asprin, tyl .....had nice soup for lunch... I YELLED at Peter today... I am such a biatch..... I was wrapping Xmas presents... I`d had a yucky time at the bank... Teller was being a $""/$"%$"4 so I was ticked off about buying US money... I have a US$ account, so that I don`t have to pay a penaly to buy it with Canadian money... also we are practically at PAR.... so Teller says`` I don`t see where you have a US account?`` ah dah!!! BIatch we`ve had it for like YEARS... plus I deposited $60 into it a few weeks ago and you TOOK it and gave me a reciepT!! Argh, so I come home and whammy, Peter gets it... I blamed him for locking me out of the US account.... oh dear... now I must go eat CROW and appologize... We`ve just been locked up in the damn house for too long TOGETHER!!!! Hi Gals, rehearsal with Mark went really well today.... we have quite a lot of work to do, to get it into shape.... but I think he is a good fit. Peter liked him too (whew!) We have a gig on Monday, and THursday, but we are using Floyd (piano) for those gigs... then I leave for Italy on the 1st of January!!! 2011 01012011 LUCKY DATE I think! Janet you are so right about the GOOD food, I cooked myself a little steak tonight, 4 oz max.... we`ll I got 2 oz in and WHAMMY it had to LEAVE!!! You get the picture... oh it was so tasty too... Yeah, got out of the house today! It was sunny and clear, no wind this morning... SO Sallly and I drove (in your truck with 4WD) to Barrie to pick up her quilt... she had it long-armed... and oh is it ever beautiful!!! Just when we got home.... it started SNOWING again... big fluffy flakes... pretty really... its just getting plain Silly now!!! The town snowplows came by and re-shoveld the front of my driveway... they rewalllyy helped by pushing back the really large WALLS of snow that Peter had built.. trouble was you couldn`t see out of the driveway to back -out... SO from this point on in the winter we have to back our cars in... so that we can inch our way out ot the curb and see if anybody is coming... Going for dinner in a few with some friends, I told you that already ....sorry... snow fog!! Am currently having a nice glass of french wine... oh it tastes good... I`ve been dressed up all day!! o.k. got creative this afternoon after my JAUNT outside.... Yes Janet; it took me 15 mins to get ready, but it was SO worth it.... My Mom and Dad bought me my first LEATHER coat when I left home.... ooh man it was nice, but NOT warm enough for a poor kid with NO car!!!! Nastalgia moment (slap) o.k. now back to reality. Mark was supposed to come tonight, but we had to postpone again.... we are expecting another 15 inches of the Georgious Lovely Snow tonight..... so tomorrow`s gig is now in question too.... Sugar Free Cheesecake Dessert Ingredients Low fat cream cheese, 225 grams (remove)(8 oz pkg) *fat free mayonaise, kraft, 4 tbsp (remove) *Milk, Fat Free, Skim, 8 oz (remove) *Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, 48 tsp (remove)(1 cup) Vanilla Extract, 2 tsp (remove) *Liquor - Gran Marnier, .5 oz (remove) ( 1 TBSPN) ************************************* *Knox Gelatin (1 envelope), 1 serving (remove) *Boiling water, .25 cup (remove) Milk, nonfat, .25 cup (remove) Nutritional Info Fat: 6.6gCarbohydrates: 14.8gCalories:128.3Protein: 5.8g Soften the cream cheese 8 oz. on the counter for awhile, or Microwave it for a few seconds Once it is pliable with a fork. Add Mayonaise, and mash it with a fork...& stir well. It will be thick, so then add Vanilla,Gran Marnier, Splenda THEN gradually add skim milk, ( up to 1 cup approx) stirring well with WISK, then add some more of the milk. It will be thin Yogurt consistancy.. Boil water, take a little cup and put .25 cup cold SKIm into it. MINUTES/CALORIES BURNED Snowshoeing...45 /497/ Oh Janet; you wouldn't be stuck at the airport, we'd come get you... or worse case scenario... we'd send the SIMCOE COUNTRY AIRPORT SHUTTLE to pick you up... those guys go thru anything!!! And today, I decided to stop complaining, and start DO-ing!!! I hate maching quilting and my shoulders are getting sore.. SO I dug out the snowshoes, got dressed.... 2 pr of socks, LongJohns(peters), Columbia ripstock pants( I bought them for Europe) , 1 turtleneck, 1 Polar Fleece Vest, 1 ski jacket, 1 Sinus protector, and last but not least My Belaclava!!!! or yeah, and gloves. Now remember, the snow plows have given it up today... toomany highways to clear first... so snow on the roads in my subdivision are 12" deep. But that is easily traversable in Snow Shoes... Couldn't find the DAMN ski poles, but I did o.k. without them... Met a lady WALKING, she said to me "Hey those are a good idea!" (snowshoes) she had just got back last nght from FLORIDA and was out of bread.. so she was walking to the SuperStore(grocery) which is 1 km away on foot... Oh my GOsh, I hope she made it...very SUNNY outside and really BEAUTIFUL, especially if you are NOT driving... poor lady... I hope she watches for cars and dives into a snowbank out of their way...cause the cars cannot STOP I did not walk to the mailbox, I went PAST it and around the next bend instead... I was feeling so good, plenty warm and oh GOD so Quiet and Peaceful.... with all the snow it muffles ALL sound... NOpe, no decorations for me!!! Why bother... too much work. Hi Girls, I`m still here!!! All highways in and out of WB are still closed... We have power, water, gas and 2 GAS Fireplaces, that work even if we lose HYDRO... so we are good!! But, in other parts of Ontario (and Phyl I am SURE they are getting slammed in Buffalo too) it was gotten so bad with whiteouts they closed the interstate(your term) and left 300 people stranded in their cars for 24 hrs..... The Ontario Premier ordered the Canadian Armed Forces in to HELP with the evacuation... helicopters and heavy equipment operators to clear snow... Holy CATS !!! (as Stephanie would say if she posted....) It was even on CNN at NOON!! Nice being retired! Don`t HAVE to go anywhere, although Peter is getting antsy and wants to try going to WALMART.... big entertainment in this town Janet, glad your tummy settled down and you were able to go to work Phyl; forgot to congratulate you on your LOSS... every little bit COUNTS!!!! Ya Karla; the weather went from bad to worse today... Police have CLOSED the Highways coming in and out of Wasaga Beach and Collingwood. Winds are 75kph with still falling snow!!! So glad that we are retired and not feeling guilty about being homebound all day. Candice - Tater are good every now and then - I do the every couple of months - Since I have been vacation I have been staying away from starches - I gained like 2.5 lbs on vacation - and by thrusday (yesterday) had them off - I ate more sugar & starches on vaca than I normally do - quesdilla - dessert every night, fufu drinks etc - but getting back to eating healthy & the gym - they came right off.. Janet; 2 .5 lbs in a week of GIVIN ÈR isn`t bad at all... You`ll have that sweated off in no time at all.... I am confident in YOU!!! Well Janet and Phyl will be too busy to post tonight I am sure.... have a glass of MERLOT for me!!! I am liking a MALBEC lately too... have you tried it Phyl... they make some really nice ones in Argentina. Back from the GIG, in Creemore... nice little town, not too far from where we live.. but alas, its snowing again!! and it was a bit SLIMEY on the roads.... but we just took it slow and allowed for more time... and it was fine. Now this was a LONG TERM CARE facility, not a sr`s retirement home(like my Mom`s) so the folks are a bit more frail... also, getting in... ah, we needed a CODE to punch in - as all residents are on Lock-down... many I guess have Alzheimers or Dementia... but they looked pretty `with it` to me... It was a great success! The ol`folks just LOVED the music, some were singing along... I told a few jokes, ( at Peter`s expense of course) and they laughed their asses off. There were a few musical glitches, but we recovered nicely and no one was the wiser (except perfectionist me - ha,ha,ha) [stop laughing Janet] We had plenty of material to last the hour, coulda played more... but you are better to leave them wanting!!! I am sure they will have us back again... people all stoped me on the way out to tell us how much they loved it... so nice. There was this one old fella, 97 yrs old was sitting right up front, he was singing along to 90% of the songs. Turns out he used to Play TRUMPET... and was quite good... He said he stopped playing at 60... but you could tell he Still loved MUSIC... it`s just IN him... how special... I am telling you, I LOVE doing this for old people - you can see it in their faces, they are tapping their toes. Most are in wheelchairs now... but ya know... their minds can all go back to the day when these songs were ones they danced to and sang to..... I am so lucky!! to be a part of this...
