Probably gonna tick some people off.......lol
pjackson0523 replied to pjackson0523's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Anyway, I'm done. I've said my two cents worth. My point was this: If you step out of the box occasionally, you're only human and shouldn't beat yourself up for it. You will learn just as I'm learning. Yes, if you can stay away from the bad stuff, by all means do. And, don't think that drinking out of a straw or eating a piece of bread is going to do you in, it won't. It just means you have to step over that pitfall and move on. This being said, I've had 1 tiny piece of bread that had stuck to the cheese where I had attempted to peel it off a Breakfast sandwich. And, I do drink out of a straw, a lot actually. Mainly because it hurts my teeth not to. I have very sensitive teeth and a straw is the only way I can drink cold stuff. AND, having a great day! Just weighed and I'm down 4 more pounds through the holidays. Happy girl here. -

ACTUALLY, my surgeon told ALL of us in our last meeting that it was coming upon the holidays and having a cookie would not kill us. Just don't make it an everyday thing. And, you're right, my title was a little "aggressive". Perhaps, because I had just read a post that someone was slamming someone for eating a slither of pie for Christmas. Really??? Just keeping it real. -

You are absolutely right, I am only two months out and maybe I will be able to eat more later. But, for now. 2-3 bites is enough for me. But, you won't make me feel guilty for having a cookie, especially here at Christmas. YOU are one of those people that won't to talk down to people who slip. I refuse to do that. I'm human. I slipped. Glad you have not. -

Oh, and, no, I'm not a confrontational person at all. Just sick of seeing all these people remarking on other people's comments about how awful they are and how they shouldn't have even had the surgery if they're going back to old habits. -

ACTUALLY, my stomach will not allow it. After 2 or 3 bites, I'm done. I seriously cannot eat anymore. Maybe I'm different. No, I don't have it all figured out. But, I also don't slam someone for "slipping." It happens, well, to me anyway. I guess you're one of the "strong" ones. I, for one, am not. I slip, I confess, and guess what, I'm STILL losing weight.........lol. Not really sure what a slider food is. Because nothing just slides right through me........lol -
One week post op- got a suprise
pjackson0523 replied to ualaw08's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes Ma'am, I did the exact same thing. Not only did I get one after NOT having one for four months, but, it was the worse one I had in years. It was awful. The cramps were unbelievable. I called my nurse and she said yes, anesthesia can do that. -

Anyone Else Think That They'll Be The One That Will Die?!?
pjackson0523 replied to Sabredy12's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My thought was , "who didn't think that." LOL.............I too, researched how to prevent a blood clot and did everything it said. I'm almost 8 weeks and love it! -
My Surgeon Doesn't Require A Pre-Op Diet?

Also, I was able to eat soft foods at 2 weeks out. ANYTHING that was soft. -
My Surgeon Doesn't Require A Pre-Op Diet?
pjackson0523 replied to sleever427's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc didn't require a liquid diet either. Just a fairly restrictive. No fats, no fried foods, lots of protein and a few green veggies. I had a great surgery and recovery. -
Day One POST-op! Any others :)
pjackson0523 replied to Poorehouse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm doing great. Weight loss is slow for me. I was on a 3 week stall at my 3rd week post op. But, losing again now, but, still slow. I have had very few problems. I was only really tired for about a week at my 4th week. Absolutely no energy that week and just wanted to sleep. I'm loving my sleeve. No regrets. -

Hungry Every Two Hours
pjackson0523 replied to pjackson0523's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm five weeks out now and my doctor allowed food at 2 weeks post op. SOFT FOODS. But pretty much anything I wanted. For dinner I had tilapia and green Beans. 2 hours later, a deviled egg. And now here at 10, I had half a Fiber tortilla and cheese...Somedays I get my protein in and I still have the issue. -
I was exactly the same way. But, now at 5 weeks out, oh, I definately know when I'm full.

Good luck tomorrow!

Losing My Legs And Butt...look Like A Marshmallow Held Up With 2 Toothpicks....
pjackson0523 replied to marfar7's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Oh, this made me laugh. I say be proud of it. At least you're not carrying all your weight around anymore. Unfortunately, I will be you. I've got boobs, always have had. But, no butt or hips and chicken legs. So, I too, know it's coming....lol -
Will be thinking of you as you have your surgery on Thursday. Hang in there!
-
I'm getting so frustrated. How can I only be getting between 700-800 calories a day and NOT be losing weight. I'm only 3 1/2 weeks out. (Surgery was 10/21) I don't think a stall this soon is normal.
-
I'm sorry; but, it's funny how no one noticed the deleted word until you pointed it out. It's funny how THAT is what you noticed.
-
I'm sorry, but, she didn't say anything out of line. This is not a place to be judged or to be corrected for your language. Really???
-
All I can say is WOW. I think there is something ELSE going on with your hubby. At least, I hope he isn't normally like this. I think you should be very proud. You have lost a tremendous amount of weight and it seems you've done great in the past year. Are you sure that the bypass is the last resort? I don't know much about the issues you're having. But, I hope things work out for you. I say stand strong against your husband and be proud of what you've done.

pjackson0523 replied to hnigro's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

pjackson0523 replied to pjackson0523's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I KNOW I'm not getting in enough Fluid or Protein. But, I'm trying, just really not able to right now. By the way, I lost 3 lbs. yesterday, so maybe, it's budging. -
