Day 4 and worse'd day so far.

My fourth day was the worse.
  2. At a stall as well. Going on 2 weeks now. I've had one before and I know that when it breaks, I will start losing again. Even though you're in a stall, you're still losing inches. Hang in there.

    Stomach spasms

A heating pad on the stomach will help with those spasms. I still get them at times. I just place a heating pad on my tummy and it works wonders....
  4. Okay, I'm 3 months out now. Since surgery I've had the feeling of being full after 3 or 4 bites of food and I figured this was normal. I'm now at 3 months out and I still can't eat more than 3 or 4 bites of anything. I've never had any nausea just this full feeling and a pain right below my breastbone. I always place a heating pad on my stomach after I eat because it just helps ease the pain. Does anyone else have this or know what this is??? And, should i still be having this at 3 months out. I'm meeting with a personal trainer now and he doesn't think that is normal. I only get in about 750 calories a day, if that. And I'm never able to get in my fluids.
  5. I was on a stall for 21 days, then the following week lost 10 lbs. I'm STILL unable to get all my protein/water in. Still pushing but just not getting there.

    I can't eat

I also had surgery on the 21st. This doesn't sound good to me. I've never had any nausea and other than a little pain when I eat in the chest/upper abdomen area, I haven't had any of the things you're talking about. I would be concerned. I think you should call your surgeon.

How is your sex drive post-op?

Non-existent. I was very active before, and, now, nothing. I don't think it's connected with the surgery, maybe just the emotional roadtrip that comes with the surgery and weight loss. HOWEVER, I still have to do it to satisfy my hubby and he's loving the weight loss. Said things sure are getting easier.........lol

    Always Hungry

I eat between 3 to 4 meals a day, but, after about an hour after I eat I'm hungry again. Is it because I'm unable to get all of my Protein or Fluid? I'm 9 weeks out and I have never been able to get in all of either. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    Always Hungry

The reason I don't get all my Protein is I never finish anything. For instance, I can't get down a whole shake, or a whole chick breast or a whole anything. I piece on stuff all day. I'm guessing i'm not getting my protein in. I need to start counting again., Haven't done that in awhile.

    Always Hungry

I usually have a Protein shake and boiled egg for Breakfast. If I get hungry before lunch, I have more protein, like boiled egg or Peanut Butter. For lunch I eat about 1/2 of an Atkins meal. For dinner, I eat a meat and veggie. But, I ate at 6 tonite and just had to get 2 cheese sticks and still hungry. I have to stop eating at mealtime because i get full quickly.
  12. Ok, every year I think really hard about my NY resolution. It's always the same. I'm going to lose weight and get healthier..lol. And, what happens is I usually end the year weighing MORE than I started. But, this year, I can say that and actually KNOW it's going to happen. A few months ago, I decided that I needed to be around for my grandkids to help them win battles against their parents and to give them an occasional break from those worn out aggravated parents. And, also to relieve my children from the joys of parenthood, which should really be called the joys of grandparenthood. Because, honestly, when we are experiencing parenthood for the most part it's hectic, tiresome and becomes a routine of day in, day out and unfortunately, you don't take time to smell the roses. However, when we're grandparents, we get to actually enjoy those kids and see things through their eyes. No longer are we the disciplinarian, but, the one that gets to provide the extras and the fun days out. Anyway, back to my resolution. with my decision to finally lose weight and be successful, since dieting just didn't work for me, Call me weak, not motivated or a loser, I don't care. You're right. I DID NOT have the will power to do it. Anyway, I had weight loss surgery on Oct. 21st. And, now here I am, 8 weeks later, and down 48 pounds. Yay! I weigh less now than I have in 10 years. Sad, but true. I still have 60 more to go and although it seems like I should reach it pretty quickly, I know that there are going to be stalls and roadblocks, but, dangit, I'm ready. I can already tell a difference in my energy level, my snoring is almost gone, I have legs again that are actually able to cross, and a jawline. Along with that, there are some negative things that I will have to deal with, like the fact, I thought my boobs were perkier than they really are, because once the pillow started going away they were sitting on, let's just say they have more of an elongated look.....oh well. And, although my legs are looking like legs again, I'm not sure what that droopy stuff is above my knees or the jigglies under my arm. But, these are things I'm willing to accept for the sake of gaining an extra 10 or more years to enjoy my life with my family. So, why am I writing this. BECAUSE, I hope that someone (anyone) will read it and make changes to get healthier in 2014. Because the damage you do to your body is sometimes irreversible. Yes, I had surgery to lose weight and I will, but, let's face it, irreperable damage has been done and other than having surgery to fix EVERYTHING, which I can't afford, I'm stuck with the damage I have done to my body for 25 years. So, my resolution this year is to exercise more and TRY to get some of MY body back in shape. And, to warn anyone that will listen not to become a couch potato snacking on meals of chips and hot sauce, topped off with Rocky Road Ice Cream without realizing you, too, will pay the price.
  13. Okay, I see all these posts where people freak out because they ate something they shouldn't have. Yes, we are supposed to eat ALOT of Protein, which I do. And, we're supposed to drink lots of Water, which I try to do, we're not supposed to drink out of a straw, which I do, I haven't died or had any more pain than not, we're not supposed to eat bread, which I have a couple of times, it hasn't made me sick, if I have a craving for a cookie, I eat it. The bottom line is even if you slip and eat a little of something you're not supposed to , it's not going to ruin your life or end your results. The truth is you will never be able to sit and eat a whole bag of doritoes or a whole package of oreos again. You're stomach will not allow it. So don't freak out because you "slipped" a little, just realize you're human and you're losing weight no matter what. Now for all you haters out there go ahead and blow me out of the water with your drama, I know it's coming. ........lol

    How bad is the nausea?

    Not one day of nausea
  17. -- I'm 17 days out and have regrets at the moment due to hernia pain and incredible lack of energy and feeling like I will faint every 25 minutes I was in ER on day 11 for dehydration I can't get down enough fluids due to hernia chest pain I am losing weight pretty fast but I don't feel good and fear I may have to extend my time off from work -- I am sooo slow at doing everything these days which is the complete opposite of my pre op days; I'm 31 yrs old but feel so much older I'm cold tired and depressed as well but hoping the sleeve helps me sustain long term weight loss and I'm able to eat without chest pain in the future Hw in 2009: 293 Hw in 2013: around 260 Surg date dec12: around 236 Current weight: probably around 215 or less due to lack of nutrients & solids -- will verify soon -- I weighed 218 day 13 post op I, too, had a hernia at 4 weeks out. I felt exactly the same way as far as being tired and no energy and major chest pain. Mine was from being stupid and lifting something heavy. But, after a week, i started getting my energy and started feeling much better. It will get better.
  18. If you have a serious problem and addicted to things as sweets and carbs, then by no means don't even touch the stuff. I wasn't speaking for everyone, just my experiences. I don't think ANYONE can speak for EVERYONE. I am not addicted to carbs or sweets. I do occasionally have a little of each, but, not addicted. I have always been a fairly healthy eater, no fried foods, not an abundance of sweets or carbs. My problem was I just eat too damn much!!!! Instead of one piece of chicken, I'd have 2. Instead of a cup of veggies, I could eat a whole pan. Don't misunderstand me, I didn't ONLY eat good food. My one weakness is MEXICAN food. Love it!!!! I could eat 4 enchiladas, 2 tacos, 2 servings of rice, Beans, tamale all at one sitting. Now, I have to choose. What do I really want to eat? When my nutritionist saw my food journal, she was shocked that I was 264 pounds, because I really did eat healthy foods at least 5 days a week. I've never drank sodas or sugary drinks, just don't care for them. But, anyway, this surgery has definately helped me with MY PROBLEM, which was portion control. I'm not telling anyone to go have a cookie, eat a pie, or pig out on burger and fries. Just saying, don't feel bad if you fall of the wagon. Get up, brush yourself off and realize we're still human. We make mistakes.
  19. Yes, my blubber sure was warm.
  20. I, too, am 9 weeks out and can eat anything I want. That doesn't mean I pig out on fried foods and chips all day....lol. And, my doctor said as long as I can tolerate without pain then I'm welcome to eat it, but, put Protein first. I've never been a huge bread person so that's not really an issue for me. But, I have had a couple of bites of bread. My doctor must really be an exception. He didn't put me on a super strict diet before surgery and allowed me to start eating Soups on week 2 after. At 4 weeks, he said to start adding foods a little at a time. I've been fine. No problems.
  21. I'm right down the street in Dallas.
  22. YES, YES,YES! I'M FREEZING ALL THE TIME, NOW. It's so weird how some things hurt some and not others. (aka, the straw) I guess that's why the doctor's say don't use it. I've heard a lot of people say that it hurts them, just not me. But, I also never had pain, or nausea, or any problem drinking really. I love that I had this surgery and wouldn't change a thing.
