    SLEEP STUDY HOW LONG

    I'm also getting the BIPAP.
  2. Wow! Reached your goal in six months! You apparently did something right!!
  3. I haven't had my surgery yet; but, I would say you need to stop and do your best to follow the diet to avoid any leakage or tears. But, mainly, because you have made the decision to change your life and it appears you are slipping back into old habits of cheating already. STay strong.

No carbs, sugar, pork, all pre-op diet

My doctor doesn't require the liquid diet before surg, just very strict. But, i know i'm a lucky one.

    Why the sleeve?

I am in the early stages of preparing for weight loss surgery; and, I have to say, I am very confused about which one to have. Just out of curiosity would like to hear some of the reasons why some of you chose the sleeve over lapband. I know that everyone is different. Just need input. Looking at surgery date sometime this month.

    A First...

i cannot wait to do zumba. I have wanted to do it since it came out; just didn't have the nerve. But, I will do it after i lose some weight.
  8. Wow. That's fast. I started the process August 16th. So mine has gone fairly quick; EXCEPT, for the approval....just waiting.
  9. Congratulations!....I wish mine would come back APPROVED so quickly.
  10. I'm waiting approval as well. My paperwork was submitted to insurance for approval on Aug 29th and was told that they have 30 days to decide. We are shooting for surgery around 2nd week of Oct.

    3 months post-op***down 80lbs***

You look great! You are a completely new person in just 3 months. Good Job.
  15. I think you're fine. I would try to follow the pre-op diet as close as possible; but, I'm sure you're not the only one to make a slip. I do not believe you're setting yourself up to fail post-op. After surgery, I'm thinking you will not want that stuff anymore anyway. Many doctors put patients on a strict liquid diet pre-op. But mine lets me eat small breakfast, protein shake lunch and a decent dinner with lean meat and green vegetable. So, I think you're fine.
  16. Getting very frustrated and impatient with my insurance company. Give me an approval NOW! LOL....sorry, just venting.

    East Texas Sleeve

CONGRATULATIONS! I only hope I can report such numbers after my surgery.
  19. Absolutely beautiful! You look 20 years younger. Thank you for posting your pics!
  20. Okay, this might be totally stupid, but, as someone who has to work I'm very curious as to how everyone has dealt with the loss of weight so quickly. I don't want to sink alot of money into clothes that I might only be able to wear for a month. How did other people deal with losing weight and going down sizes quickly?

    CLOTHES, CLOTHES, CLOTHES

Thanks All! I, too, have thought about hitting the sales racks right now and start shopping for smaller clothes. I guess I'm just afraid that I might jinx myself..........lol.....I have failed so many times that I'm afraid of being a failure again.

    Sleep study

I actually had one this past Saturday night. It was fine. It really didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I had no problem in going to sleep. And, it was very helpful. Once they put the mask on me, I went to sleep and didn't wake up for 4 hours until the next morning.

    2nd Week After Surgery

I agree. I noticed that MANY people have a pre-op diet of nothing but liquids. I don't have that. My pre-op diet is breakfast consisting of either egg, toast, fruit, or yogurt. (allowed 2) , lunch is protein drink and dinner is lean meet with green veg. Not near as strict as many of the pre-op diets.
