Chim, So sorry to hear you are hungry! That is an awful feeling, especially when you don't want to be! I get that way sometimes, especially if I go to long without eating, then I get dizzy and like Lynette said in a later post, you have to get food in you ASAP!!!! Seems like when it runs out, it runs out!

Sunny, I would be soooo tempted to eat that recipe! I copied it off, I may have to try it ... probably shouldn't though, lol! Sounds like you are doing very well! These gatherings are very much a test of our willpower! Thursday when we went with our daughter for her surgery, we stopped at Burger King, I thought I could get Chili, but they were out ... well, needless to say, I couldn't order anything! I was quite down in the dumps! I am sure the first of many depressing times!!!

Lynette, the Waterpark sounds wonderful!!! Hunter will be a blast there! It is hot here today too! Always gets like this in August! Just in time to go back to school! Is Hunter in Pre-School, or what we call K4? He's 4, right?

Hi All!!!! Thought I would check in, have been very busy the past few days!!!! My oldest daughter is home and had to have oral surgery! She has been in a great deal of pain, so I have been watching out for her, swimming, and working on her wedding/shower plans for next summer. What have I been missing! I know I have been missing all of you!!! Hope everyone is doing fine and on with recovery! I went to my 3 week checkup yesterday and was down another 3 pounds and now allowed to eat anything, so I guess we will see how this goes! I have had 3 episodes with choking on chicken and the doc says he would use that to say I may not need a fill in 3 weeks. I am to keep track of how long I feel full after eating and call within 2 weeks, so they can plan for my adjustment the week after. Down 18 pounds so far!:clap2:

As of yesterday's doctor appointment, I am able to eat anything I want!!!! Just told to take it slow! Would be nice to follow the progress of those of us banded on the same day!

These lists are awesome!!! I will have to think about it more and post it tomorrow! Getting tired tonight, but wanted to do a quick catch up, cause we all know tomorrow, there will be tons more to read through! No shortage of information and/or well wishes here!!!

Jackie, I know I was fearful of that as well, but actually no problem! It was actually rather nice, but I thought I probably looked like a "toad" on the back, but he was soooo happy that I went! Been putting that one off and was a big step for me!!!! So, who knows what is next, lol!!!

Jackie, that is what I was told also! Guess it makes sense! I will find out soon, I guess! I have an appt. on Friday, then 2 weeks more to get a fill! So won't be long! Sunny, You will soooo love your flooring! Makes you feel so much better! Crap on the money deal though, that sure does put the clinchers to things! I still chuckle when I think of the beans on that squash casserole, but honestly, I liked it with the Northern Beans much better than the black beans! But then I love Northern Beans, so that may be the reason! Both were good though! I tell you, I wouldn't have had a clue if you wouldn't have said something!!! Thanks, Friend!!!

Yeah, I am excited too ... I am already off of 4 different diabetes meds, my blood pressure meds, and my beta blocker!!!! How awesome is that????? I am psyched!!! There is NO way anyone will tell me that what I did was wrong!!!!! LOL:)

Yeah, Honey, I put them on top of my casserole, drained of course, but yummy! They were delicious!!! Quite a hit, beans and all!!!! Did it again today!

I wanted to tell you ... my doc said he will do the fills under a fluoroscope ... he said that way, he isn't guessing and he can get the fill close to "perfect" the first time! He will do it with the light and while I am drinking, so he can monitor how much is going down and how quickly! So he can make the most of each adjustment! Just something to be aware of, if you have a choice!
