August Sleevers?
Mookster replied to Brettharris35's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Checking in on my fellow August sleevers. Running into the frustration of being finished before anyone else at the table. Still can only eat about 6 or 7 bites. Working on slowing down each and every time. Think i am down to nearly two minutes a bite lol. Love, love, love my new stomach. It is doing it's job by getting me full with just a little bit. Upped my protein intake because I have more hair strands in my brush and comb. Have become great friends with cottage cheese, as too many protein drinks in a day become tiresome. So far I have lost 44.8 lbs...sleeved 8/29/13. Hope everyone else is feeling better since we are a little further out from our surgery month. Good luck to all. -

I'm sure you are doing it right. Everyone is different. I too can eat anything but extremely small amounts. I do find the weeks I don't lose as much are the weeks I go carb crazy. Just keep going...you will eventually move down the scale again. Good luck! -
So, I consider myself fairly tolerant of stupid people (or I mask it well), but...

20g, with only 2g net carbs, 180 calories...I should have stated my protein window is 40-60g a day. You can get them on Amazon.com and have them delivered automatically each month. -

Saw this on another thread and it showed me exactly why we have to wait to drink. -

Checking in....sleeved 8/29 and down 36.8. Just started eating food yesterday and was giggling because I was full after 3/4 of an egg and half a piece of toast. Very happy that I did the surgery...looking forward to trying different healthy foods to see what works and what doesn't. Good luck all -

Where is it going to be? -
I'm sorry but I'm just not 'wait 30 minutes to drink after eating' guy.

Wow! Great demonstration. I am 5 weeks out and today is my first day eating food I can chew...and I found myself reaching for a glass at dinner...good thing I didnt have one. Just a habit that has to be changed, and the demonstration with the funnel will stay in my mind. Thank you for sharing that link. -

I too was sleeved on 8/29. I have seen some early August sleevers say the third week is always a stall-out, but that after that they start losing again. Good luck, and just keep going -

Oh wow! Just had a Celebrate multi-vitamin and it came right back up....may be too soon. Sleeved the 29th...B12 has been fine but first time trying the multi-vitamin. Will be a while until I do that again. Any multi-vitamin faves? -

I was sleeved Aug 29 and yes, weakness is a big thing. But I figure my caloric intake is so drastically reduced my body is just trying to adjust. Good luck, and congratulations on your 30 pounds! -

The drain is a flexible tube draining from the surgery area out to a flexible plastic bulb that is on the outside of your body. It drains fluids and blood...some doctors do this, others don't. -

Sleeved on the 29th and drain comes out this afternoon! Each day seems to be easier. Taking it day by day.
