Thank you so much! I hope all is well with your surgery and with your friend!

Surgery was in October, now I stay sick...?

They are running tests, a lot of the same tests you mentioned your friend having. It is extremely frustrating! I just want them to find out what's wrong!!!!
  3. I had surgery in October of last year, and I've done great! I've lost 80lbs, I had no complications. And I don't think my complications are with my surgery now.... But for about 2 months I've had a fever persistently, that my doctor diagnosed as "fever of unknown origin" I stay weak, and tired. My muscles ache, my head always hurts, I stay nauseated especially in the mornings, (and no I'm absolutely not pregnant). I'm extremely anemic and I have to go get an iron infusion this week so maybe that will help with the weakness, and some of the other symptoms. But I was just wondering, has anyone else found other health problems as they start losing weight? My surgeons office said it wasn't related to my surgery but I think I may ask my surgeon next appointment.

    6-7 Weeks Out

I know everyone has a different diet and different restrictions, but I need an idea of how everyone is doing about 6 weeks out. What does your menu look like? How are you exercising? liquid and Protein intake? progress? I've lost a lot of weight in the beginning but it's slowing wayyyy down. I'm realizing that I haven't been following all of the rules and eating so well. So, I need some ideas!!!

    Thank you!

    What can I do?

About how much walking in a day did you do?

    What can I do?

I am a week and a half post-op and I want to start exercising. The only instructions I have from my surgeon is no heavy lifting for 6 weeks. He told me to do things as I felt like it. So what are some good work outs in the beginning?

What I wish I had known

I should've practiced smaller sips of water. I was so used to chugging a bottle here and there and well, that's impossible after surgery. Also I should've stopped drinking and eating at the same time months before surgery.

    Thank you so much!!!

My post-op diet moves kind of fast...

So how many calories do sleeved people consume in the maintenance stage?

My post-op diet moves kind of fast...

He never said anything about calories... Just to limit carbs, fats, and sugars.
  12. On post-op day 3 I could start eating foods like refried beans, cottage cheese, eggs, soups, mashed potatoes, etc. I'm only on post op day 4 and I ate about 320 calories today between protein drink, vitamin chews, and all of the food I ate. I know this would sound stupid to a normal person but is this too many calories following the surgery? I don't want to eat too much!!! I guess I'm just scared of doing anything that would sabotage this. Everything I've eaten I've logged and it's all been healthy, and it's been a sugar free fat free diet... But... Calories? Help! Thanks!

    Two days post op

I just got out of the hospital (sleeved 10/10) and when I was in I felt like I couldn't breathe at all. In fact, I still have some problems taking a deep breath. I think it's just the pain or maybe even the gas? Not sure.

    Surgery tomorrow!

. How are you doing with pain and nausea?? My pain on the pain scale has been above 8 since surgery and I'm constantly nauseated. But I'm getting better... I think. Gas pains are still intense but I've done great walking.
