My surgery is in 13 days and I created a ticker. I've read a few blogs and am following the forums about protein shakes and vitamins trying to get ready for my pre-op liquid diet as well as have all the chewable vitamins and post-op diet foods on hand. It's a bit overwhelming but I guess I'm plodding along ok. I intend to keep track of my experience.
It was difficult to come to this decision about having the surgery because I felt like I should have been able to diet on my own and deal with the weight without surgery. However, there is a point when you are so overweight that you cannot even bring yourself to exercise.
I know that after I lose some weight I will feel like moving more and be able to exercise. I am also suppose to come up with an "exercise program". For me, right now, that will be walking (probably very slowly at first). Any chair exercisers?
