  1. Pre-op diet started on Sept 1st.....lost 13 lbs in 2 weeks. Surgery on Sept 13. Post op I've lost 21 lbs. total weight loss since Sept 1st 34 lbs.
  2. I had surgery on Sept 13th in Mexico with Dr Fernando Garcia at Florence hospital. $4700 covered everything but my plane from St Louis. It was going to cost $17,000 here. My pcp in St Louis was happy with my decision. He tested my blood work the day I got back in town and will test it every 3 months Ike he has been already. I would not have changed a thing about my decision to go to Mexico for a second. Loved it.

    Flying after surgery

I just flew to Mexico on Sept 12th and had surgery on the 13th from St Louis. The return flight was fine. I was tired so I slept a lot. I did get up a couple times and walked to the bathroom. I had no problems with blood clots. Did feel great to get off the plane. Good luck to you.

    At florence today!

I just had surgery on the 13th. I was in florence Hosp and by myself too. There is not a place to lock your luggage up but I kept a lock on my suitcase and they close your private room up so nobody can get in while your in surgery. I had no problems at all.

    Getting sleeved in Sept

i just had surgery friday with Dr Garcia at Florence Hospital. You will be so happy with your decision. Best of luck to you.
  14. Im still in Mexico going home to Missouri tomorrow. I had my sleeve done 9-13, friday with Dr Garcia. What a great experience I have had. I too came alone and I dont regret doing that at all. There is not anything here to be afraid of. Everyone from the second you walk off the plane has been so accomidating and friendly. The surgery went smoothly and Dr Garcia is wonderful. You will meet a lot of people floating around the hotel that is also having surgery at the same time with different companies. Fun to sit and talk with all of them while you enjoy your gross chicken broth or even groser popsicle. You have made a wonderful decision and you will have no regrets. I promise. Let me know if any questions come up that you need answered. Best of luck to you on this amazing journey.

Heading home to STL on Tuesday.

It's like you can feel it go all the way down to the sleeve then I burp. Hope that goes away sooner than later. Hoping that everyone else that was sleeved this week is feeling good too.
