How much should I be drinking? How often?

My mother had the sleeve surgery 3 days ago and i'm just curious on how much fluids she should be consuming. She is currently having 3 ounces of sugar free muscle milk every hour, and slowly sipping water in between , but how much time should be in between each fluid, and how much should she be drinking? I'd appreciate the help :)
