56 pounds after 2 week post op is an incredible achievement! I wish I did half as well. Don't stress, it's way too early for that! It will come!

I bought one bottle to try, took once sip and dumped it out. But some people say they are good. So for sure buy just one to try first. Maybe it's an acquired taste, lol!

You might list them on Craig's List first. I tend to look up just about everything I buy just in case I can find a great deal locally!

August sleevers up dates. ..?
On A Mission replied to rossy222@yahoo.com's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery on 8/6 and down 19 lbs. Wishing I was loosing faster, but trying to go with the flow! I think maybe I am getting too many carbs as I have been eating my chicken salad on melba toast. But it seems to be the only way I can get it down. Had horrible acid at first I mistook for hunger pains. Now I don't have much appetite, but still have some hunger, if that makes sense. -

help! Sublingual B12 disgusting! Only cherry flavor?
On A Mission replied to LMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took the same b-12 I always took. I was told in the hospital anything the size of a pencil eraser or an m&m was fine. I did break them in half the first few days I took them, but I have no problem taking them whole now. -

I was feeling pretty overwhelmed before my surgery as well. I found out two days before my surgery that nothing was off the table on a permanent basis. It really surprised me as I have family members who went the bypass route, and there are some things they will never be able to eat again. Not so for us. For sure there are things we cannot eat while we are in the weight loss stage and expect to be successful. But otherwise we will be able to have our favorites again someday, only in moderation. I am happy with that! I will be able to order my favorite foods in and wont be able to eat it all, but that's okay! I will just be able to have it again the next day and possibly the next! I have had absolutely no buyers remorse. I am only out 3 1/2 weeks, but I couldn't be any happier with my decision. Motivation can be found all over this site with the success of our fellow bloggers!

I was to the point have having my paramedic nephew come over to put in IV in for me, just couldn't get them in and was getting concerned. Then I saw the slushee machine in 7-11 and sugar free flavors. I went ahead and got a small to try it out. I was almost home and turned right around and went back and got a large. It went right down and tasted like heaven. So I started making slushees at home with my nutria-bullet and some crystal light, and it works!! I checked with my nut about the 7-11 variety, and she said they were fine as long as they were sugar free. I ordered a frozen margarita maker, and 7-11 is going to sell me the syrup. I think this will take me through the summer. As for the timing issue, I was thinking about setting alarms every 15 minutes, but then thought about how annoying that would be! I work from home and have a TV in my office. I am keeping it on now, down low so it doesn't bother me while I am working, and whenever there is a commercial break, I have myself trained to take a swallow or two. It works!

Sugar free slurpees were what worked best for me! They were so much easier! I started making slushes with my crystal light and nutria-bullet at home. They saved me. And the cold is good on the swelling in your sleeve.

Sugar Free Slurpee's from 7-11 saved me from becoming dehydrated at first! I couldn't get plain water down, and every flavor tasted horrible. I don't know why, but slushee it up, and it seems I can tolerate anything! Love my nutria-bullet turned slushee maker!

What's the Worst Diet Advice You've Received?
On A Mission replied to Greeknugget's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How about the whole green coffee beans and raspberry ketones. The miracle's in the bottles? Did any of those work out for any of you. Sunk quite a bit of money into 'em! -
August 6th here.

someone one asked me my "due date"

That happened to my sister-in-law once. When she told him she wasn't pregnant, the guy actually argued with her!! I guess that's a benefit to being 50. Nobody jumps to that conclusion anymore! But just think how temporary this situation is for you now!!
